Lab Six
Lab Six is the best place in Perth if you want to learn how to DJ or produce music. Clean, hygienic venue, toilets are down stairs, classes go for two hours usually once a week for 10 weeks always take snacks too. They have a water fountain too. You need to bring your USB to the class. The instructors are easy going accommodating for additional needs and have classes for kids too. Once you complete 10 lessons you get a fancy certificate. Lab Six provides some on going DJ opportunities for graduates you go on their discord or facebook group and there`s sporadic call outs. I have gained 4 paid gigs since graduating.

Jeremy taught me the basics of Ableton production in a concise, intelligent and fun manner, ive now been producing for a few years with Mashups, Edits, Bootlegs and very soon original songs under my belt. Great school full of amazing teachers.

I just finished up the 10 week Ableton Music Production Course. I can honestly say it was the best thing I've ever done. Ive finished with a great understanding of Ableton and gone from struggling to navigate my way around to being able to get my ideas down quickly and sounding the way I want them. Jeremy was an incredible teacher. The other students were amazing too. Just an all round incredible experience with epic people. I would HIGHLY recommend this course, this school and this crew. Lab Six was an awesome experience, their new venue is fresh and polished and their lesson content is engaging and informative.Jeremy (Ableton Course Teacher) has so much passion for music and seeing his students progress, so as long as you have questions and are open to learn you'll get a lot out of it.Plus there's some wicked gear to play with mid way through.Thanks again and look forward to more courses and lessons down the track.P. S. Jeremy is also a Rubik's cube God.

I did the one on one music production course with Michael, such a great experience. Michael definitely knows a thing or 2 about music production and his years of experience shone through in his lessons. Was more than happy to go over things I wasn't getting my head around. Lab Six is very well equipped for music production or even getting on the decks to test out your skills. I am definitely going back to take another one of their courses in the future.

I wasted countless hours trying to self teach myself Abelton via YouTube etc. Had I just signed up for the Abelton Music production course years prior, I would not have wasted so much time barely scratching the surface. It is crazy what is learnt in such a short time in this course. The Lab Six instructors are amazing! I couldn’t be more thankful for Lab Six in being so instrumental in my music making journey!

One of the best music performance schools in Perth! It caters to everyone from beginner to advanced and so many wonderful people! If you’re wanting to DJ, Produce or Sing then I highly recommend Labsix!

Wow, is the word for learning to DJ at Lab Six, the whole programme from beginning to the very end is set in a way, that you never lose focus of the main adjective, to DJI had 1 on 1 lessons with DJ Midsole, total respect for this guy, great dude, he lets you know everything you need to know about DJing.I would say any any wanna be DJs out there, this is the place to learn

I've had multiple sessions with different instructors and all of them have been amazing. I've learnt so many tips and tricks as well as entirely new techniques that have hugely improved my production level. I've learnt about mixing and mastering as well as sound design and general song structure. All of the instructors are friendly and open to talking about different options and ideas. I've worked on a couple of different songs here and each time I've had a session I've been able to improve them so much. I would highly recommend Lab Six for any producer looking to start out or improve. 10/10 easily.
