I felt like a fool handing over $600 to do a rushed 5 hour traffic controller course with roughly 2 dozen other people. The guy was taking private calls ffs. Then to learn I have to do 3 days unpaid and purchase $300 to $400 worth of gear. Yeah like I have $1000 laying about. No surprise they’re getting into labour hire as well. Another scourge in the face of the unemployedEdit; responseThis is a review page for your company. It’s for public viewing. I am not required to disclose my personal details, even my name. If I wanted my money back I would come and see you personally. To see courses advertised in the local paper for $150, then to call to make a booking and find out they are actually $300 in my area, then to call the number given to find out they are actually $600 is nothing short of ... interesting. I said a couple dozen clients. That might be around 9 more than 15 and there were way more than 15.

Did my white card here, the trainer was an excellent teacher, and conducted the lesson at the pace of the slowest person, ensuring everybody had a solid understanding of the concepts. Very satified with the training, and would recommend without hesitation.

28/10/2022Completed White Card Certification - (Toowoomba Training Centre)The operations of the training were horrible and something you would witness in a 3rd world economy. Here is why:1) The session had 17 people, therefore it was a large class.2) The times allocated for the course is between 8:00am to 3:00pm.3) There was only one instructor delivering the course.4) The content was not delivered until 8:45am. For 45 mins we were filling application forms (3 pages). This could have been sent to us via email to be filled in prior to the day.5) The instructor delivered content for 20 mins on a PowerPoint, the booklets already had the information in them.6) The class was then asked to complete the theory Assessment via looking at the booklets provided. According to the assessment criteria on their booklet, it should take you no more than 30 mins for the theory assessment and 15 mins for the practical assessment. Except for two high school students in the room, the majority of us finished the theory assessment in 10 to 15 mins.7). The instructor then marked our theory assessment on their own on the basis who finished first. I was 4th to finish.8) While the Assessment were coming in to be marked, the instructor continued to take students who have finished the theory assessment to the work shed to undertake the practical assessment.9) There was no clear order of how this worked, anyone who caught the instructor's attention was given the nod and taken to the next room for the practical assessment, while at the same time marking papers.10) There were 6 of us left, the instructor decided to ask the 5 of us some of the practical questions on the board just to hurry the process up as the instructor was at this stage exhausted doing this by themselves.11) I was the 4th last to be seen after sitting in a chair for over 3 hours.12) After I had finished my practical assessment, I heard the instructor ask the other 3 students if it was okay that the instructor gets a bite to eat before proceeding.13) I did not want to complain to the instructor about poor operations of the day in front of the rest of the students but did complain to one of the gentlemen in the office.14) I did not leave the gate until 2:30pm.The gentleman was very apologetic and said that he will pass my message to the manager. I left my phone number and asked them to call me.I am a Guidance Officer in a large High School in Toowoomba, and we often send students to DGT, after today's experience of poor service, I will not recommend this service anymore. On an average they charge High School students $50 and adults $80 per training session, there were 17 of us, that's close to $1000 for the day that was taken collectively from us. But poor service was delivered by one person. The White Card Certification can be done in a Maximum of 3 hours with a large group, but DGT decided to only have one instructor delivering very important content I might add to very poor standards. You should be ashamed of operations today, but hopefully learn from it.The lesson will continue to repeat

Very unprofessional company. Complete stuff around with the employment process, issues with payments and too many mistakes. Partner was treated so poorly and not even compensated for the extra effort he had to put it just to get to work. The company was made aware of where my partner was travelling from and they didn’t even care, sent him very long distances, expected him to drive almost 2hrs each way just for a job. Didn’t even pay for travel even though it was part of the agreement made at the interview. Was told one pay rate at the interview and was payed something totally different. My partner was underpaid and treated so poorly, I cannot believe it. To top it all of he was basically fired in the most unprofessional way over a text message, with no follow up communications or anything official. Keep in mind this was a full time apprentice position. We basically assumed he had lost his job when they began to ignore him and stoped communications all together. So so unprofessional. Stay away from these guys if you can help it! If I could’ve given them zero out of 5 stars I would’ve!

Great training awesome staff and facility's only problem is the communication, i called up about a course that i had almost finished and asked what i can do to finish it, no response and just received an email with the certificate. I assume that i didnt need to do the part that i missed.

Recently completed white card course. Very poorly organised. No email sent regarding what to wear (boots etc). No instruction/direction on where to go. No introduction from trainer. No welcome to x class. Was mortified as the only woman in the class to be singled out with a sexist joke sign indicates women should be in the kitchen". Lots of mistakes in work books

DGT continues to create high quality training and employment pathways for young people in and around Toowoomba and I couldn’t be happier to have been associated with them over many years. I can only praise the whole team there who always go the extra mile for hosts, apprentices and trainees and their partners!Hi

As long as you read the manual while answering the questions it was pretty much straightforward and using your common sense. Would also like to thank Guy Baker for making my experience informative and enjoyable. Thanks DGT.

Unfortunately our experience was very unpleasant. We approached this organisation to obtain white card training and asked for literacy support due to learning difficulties. We have never been turned away from training opportunities ever by any other organisations due to this. We were denied this opportunity as we asked for support and was given the justification that it is their duty of care to refuse. Please don’t bother booking with them if you need learning support as you will be discriminated against using the same excuse to defend their discriminatory attitude. I am bewildered that a person who can hold a heavy combination truck licence, multiple machinery tickets, cert lll in beef agriculture, gun licence, CPR, senior first aid, and runs their own business can be immediately deemed unsafe to even make an attempt to complete the training because of poor literacy skills. You can justify discrimination with many things but it still stinks no matter how you try to dress it up.
