Good location which is important due to the fact we didn't have a car. Good service and a very comfortable room. Bed was great and shower was hot, my 2 most important criteria, a great option when staying in hobart. It's only a few minutes walk to salamenca markets too

I am writing this whilst sitting on the toilet in my apartment here at Mantra One. It's the first time I've ever reviewed accommodation from the bathroom. It's nice. Would definitely poo again.

Supposed to be 4 star?!? Not so sure about that. An old 1920's building with a rabbit warren of rooms and a dungeon for a car park (not at all fit for purpose) The room was dated and tired, furniture grubby, fixtures and fittings at least 30 years old. Comfortable bed and wonderful location helped a bit, but overall we were thoroughly disappointed with this place, and could not in all conscience recommend it.

Pros: comfy bed. Friendly staff. More spacious than expected.Cons: kettle is not clean. Lots of bugs on couch, my partner got bitten bad. I was not as bad as him but also got itchness when sitting on couch. Hence the one star rating. Hope they are working on this!

Mantra have really dropped the ball at this hotel. Not enough parking for all the guests that stay, the room has out dated decor, was narrow and pokey, and had a musky smell. Only natural light was from a single small window that didn’t open and other buildings just outside it. Guy at check in was great but was from another Mantra site. Bed was comfortable.I use Mantra a lot but for $330 a night I’d stay somewhere else.

Great location. Central to what most tourists need.I was here for work, little disappointed that there wasn’t a dvd player, after website said studio room has one.Overall quite happy. Neat and tidy, functional.

Apartment 503 has one small window. This is the main downfall. Otherwise, great location and staff were very helpful.
