This was one of the most hospitable small pubs during 3 weeks of travel around Victoria and South Australia that we have visited. Second to none Customer Service, great range of drinks on tap, awesome meal both price/quality as well as a very inviting atmosphere. Thankyou

This is the most scathing review I have ever given which I’m sure they’ll appreciate as it’s obvious the only welcome mat is for a particular type of local. My GPS wasn’t working - thought - I’ll go the pub, pubs have coffee these days. Walked in - obviously only grog and pokies on offer. Totally ignored by staff. So I eventually approached the barman (who had been happily serving others) and asked him where I could find coffee. He replied, I thanked him, and I left followed by peals of hillbilly laughter (but not a hill in sight - must be something in that water). Don’t go there unless you’re one of them.

Ordered a chicken schnitzel thinking it would be the safest option. How wrong I was. The vegetables were obviously straight from a frozen veg packet as they were soggy and not fresh. The satay sauce was obviously straight out of a packet. Too overpowering. If you can’t nail a chicken schnitzel then your in the wrong industry. It’s not hard to get right.

We dined in and had the absolutely best meals. Hubby ordered a Seafood combo and all the seafood tasted so fresh, but it was my meal that was the standout. I have several allergies and the chef worked with me to create a stunningly amazing meal that was so delicious. Thank you too Chef Nicole, for going over and above.Highly recommend!

Great service and meal in reasonable time despite being fairly busy with transient customers. The schnitzels our group had were fantastic, with fresh salads and chips.

Stoped in at the front bar for lunch on the way to Robe. Good old country pubs. Food was tasty and the manager was friendly and welcoming. We ordered the green curry and cheesy garlic bread and a chicken schnitzel for the kid. The green curry not in a heavy gravy but a lighter style broth that did not compromise on flavour. Cheesy garlic bread was good. The schnitzel with chips were bit greasy at all but nice and crisp.Coopers on tap as well as Hahn.
