Ian Allison and Botanical Funerals were so helpful when my mum passed away while in hospital. Thoughtful with suggestions, accommodating and truely genuine when grief is so overwhelming.

We were referred to Ian when our brother died by suicide recently. We had been looking for a funeral service that could offer us something authentic and unique. An organisation that could be supportive of the tragic circumstances we found ourselves in. We found that in the service provided by Botanical Funerals.When we met Ian we knew we had made the right choice. His honest, compassionate and experienced guidance was refreshing. Importantly, he prioritised our brother's needs at the time and made himself available to respond to the many questions we had. The funeral was an honourable occasion thanks to Ian and his professional team. We felt our wishes and expectations were respected and delivered on the day.We would have no hesitation in recommending Botanical Funerals.

I cannot refer more highly, Ian Allison and Botanical Funerals. We had a difficult situation to deal with as the death was complex but Ian was absolutely fabulous. Kind, professional and so very easy to work with. Very adaptive to our requirements. From the provision of candles for us to light to the beautiful drawing provided by his wife and the lavender plant to remember our departed loved one! I have no hesitation in recommending Ian for anyone wanting the best care for their loved one. Thank you!!!!!

Ian Allison and the team at Botanical Funerals were a godsend to deal with over the months leading up to my wife's funeral. From the recommendation of the Celebrant and the Priest, to the suggestion of the venue, to the video operator, the flowers and the coffin choices, they were very caring and courteous. I can not rate them highly enough. Anyone looking for a funeral company would be hard pressed to find better. On behalf of family and friends, you made a difficult day much more bearable.

April 2022 was my fathers funeral. From the very first time I spoke with Ian and then meeting Ian with my family, we found him to be attentive, compassionate, professional, but friendly and the most important genuine. Nothing was too much trouble for Ian and his crew. I loved that I received a text from Ian on my fathers passing, to be informed that they were on their way to transfer my father into their care. I thought the words were very thoughtful and gave me the reassurance that even though my father had passed, he was going to be looked after. It’s the little things such as this by Ian and Botanical Funerals and many other examples, that made the difference for it to be stress free and positive experience in such a distressing and sad time. Nothing was too much trouble for Ian and his crew. Any requests by my family were taken on board without any issue. Ian took time to explain and answer all our questions and was there on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly and without incident. It was very reassuring to have him there on the day with his guiding help. Ian was never pushy for my family to use his services and the fees were extremely reasonable (extremely competitive) and could cater for any type of funeral cost. I will now always use Botanical Funerals in the future. I cannot fault one thing. The funeral was beautiful and my dad would have thought so too. Botanical funerals conducted my mother’s funeral. I cannot highly recommend them enough. They were wonderful, their attention to detail was great, they sourced beautiful west Australian flowers for the floral tribute. The funeral was almost exactly as my mother wanted. They were very unobtrusive during the service but very supportive. Ian Allison was great to deal with at a time when you are very stressed and emotional. I cannot thank them enough for what they did for my family.

On the 20th April 2022 Ian and the Botanical Funeral Staff conducted my mothers Funeral at Box Hill Cemetery in the Lawn Area.We have the privilege of meeting with Ian early September 2021 as my mother had suffered a severe fall and not expected to survive. Over the enduring months until March this year we continued contact. What a breath of fresh air to meet with Ian and Ghislaine both extremely compassionate and understanding and nothing was too much trouble. The Funeral was conducted with respect a beautiful Graveside Service on a cloudy Melbourne Day. I have received many phone calls from Ian to see how we were going as a small family this restores your faith in humanity. The Celebrant that I left Ian to choose Paul was also compassionate and his service about my 98 year old mother were beautiful. It was a typical Melbourne day with a slight drizzle and as we walked up to the Lawn Cemetery everyone was offered a light blue umbrella a refreshing change from the somber black. I thank all the Botanical Staff and I wish them well in the future.

I cannot speak highly enough of Ian and his wonderful team at Botanical Funerals. The care, respect and compassion shown to our family, and our beautiful Dad Harold, who we lost suddenly in July 2022, will remain with us always. You truly are very special people, and we thank you all.xxxx
