If you are suffering from chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia you should really consider not attending this clinic. I was desperate at the time to get help for my son. I took my son and it cost me about $3500 and nothing was achieved. They did brain mapping $500 complete waste of money, and plied us with hundreds and hundreds of dollars of supplements which did not help, and were advised to change the diet. There is more to CFS and fibromyalgia than taking supplements. Ensure you attend a clinic that specialises in CFS and fibromyalgia. I was extremely disappointed and my son thought that Dr Duff was not suitable for dealing with this type of condition. His recommendation was when you wake up in the morning look at the sun, take a deep breath and give a big clap your hands. That was the last time we went.

Absolute waste of time and money. Jacques is clearly looking for confirmation bias that ASD behaviours are all down to wheat in the diet" and "the Oil&Gas industry"...verbal ticks you ask? That will be due to a Strep infection in early adulthood...This is almost SO ridiculous that is goes from horrific

I suffer from chronic fatigue - something I have been 'trying' to manage for years without any success. It was so bad that most of the time I couldn't go out, could only manage to move from the bed to the couch, couldn't shower... I heard about this doctor through a friend of a friend who had suffered with severe CFS for over 10 years and this doctor rehabilitated him. So I checked him out. I can happily report after sticking to the plan of dietary change and supplements, after 1 year I'm feeling great! This illness negatively affected my work, my relationships, my mental health - everything. I couldn't work, I missed special events (weddings, birthdays), I constantly cancelled catch ups, but that has all changed. Having the tests done and paying for the supplements can be expensive (you can find cheaper alternatives online, do the research) - but I would pay anything to be healthy again - how can you put a cost on your health? It's all we have. I can't recommend Dr Duff more. If you seriously want a solution - invest in YOU and stick to the plan. You'll see results.

Service very slap-dash, all programs written for children are basically the same which means not much individualisation for the child. Expensive for the services provided. Also, they charge around $50 for therapists (you can't hire your own! such a money making scam!) and the therapists only get paid a small amount p/hour, and don't get paid for travel which means that there is a lot of change over with the therapists as they can't afford to stick around. Psychologists also very arrogant even though they don't have a very good reputation in the field. Would not try again. Also, their 'taking turns' program is a bit silly- as talking or communicating is a 'turn taking' activity, no need to force child to take turns in putting blocks in to a box? Not much real world application. Better off with other services like Autism Partnership.

Must see if u want a real solution to you or your child’s problems! After my child has suffered for four years with PANDAS AND to have received no help from mainstream health.. I was blessed to be referred to Dr Duff! He ran comprehensive tests and after carefully analysing them , he put my son on a healthy eating plans and a huge amount of supplements to support the healing of his brain. Three months in .. he is a different child! He is calmer, ticks have all stopped, OCD stopped, anxiety down and less pandas attacks. SOOOO GRATEFUL TO AN EXPERT THAT HAS SAVED US!!

Went here for general psychology advice/assessment and biomedical intervention for Autism. My child was very young have been using this clinic for biomedical info as well as normal therapy protocols.I would highly recommend for anyone who wants therapists who understand gut and behavioural issues. Not for everyone I know, but we did SMART DNA and Faecal Micro through Monash. Information provided on these and how they may effect other therapy efforts was great.BNC did my testing and assisted with various psych consults, I could use my FAHCSIA for this. Other visits for bio medical intervention was not FAHCSIA but I found well worth the $$.The majority of intervention was coordinated by myself and my husband as we used Son-rise evaluation methods week, as BNC do not do son-rise or RDI. We did the ABA training but found the full ABA program wasn't for us; as a daily intervention method. We did find the ABA useful for some aspects of therapy though.

I took my son to see Dr Duff as I suspected ASD, more specifically, what they used to term as Asperger's but now group together in the ASD diagnosis. Dr Duff spent approximately an hour with us and our son and despite me explaining many examples of behaviour relating to ASD, he ruled that out without a formal or proper ASD assessment, and instead diagnosed him with a stomach imbalance. Whilst we agreed and pointed out ourselves that we felt our son was suffering from some gut issues from some previous illness, we felt let down and disillusioned once we left the appointment as his answer was to sell us some natural remedy powder for his imbalance together with an absolute denial of ASD. Even if the powder was helpful, it was so potent, even his dad and I couldn't drink it when mixed with juice and for a then 2yo with sensory issues, the powder was never going to be an appropriate course of action. The Royal Children Hospital's Autism Team diagnosed our son with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 2 at 3.5 years of age, some nearly 2 years later due to wait lists. They were brilliant and did not jump to any conclusions whilst also listening to us, the parents, who are the best source of information regarding our son's traits, the good and the challenging. I look back and feel such disappointment and frustration that had we been genuinely respected and listened to as parents during our appointment with Dr Duff, our son may have been in treatment a lot sooner prior to the pandemic (we're still on waiting lists). Early intervention means nothing without the support and awareness of professionals such as Dr Duff. I'm not questioning Dr Duff's knowledge however I feel on this occasion, arrogance got in the way of a proper diagnosis.
