Bistro Moncur
Lovely, cosy French restaurant with friendly service. The food was authentic, with great presentation and was delicious. The steaks were cooked just the way we asked, and the soufflé is a must! Definitely recommend.

We were extremely impressed with everything on our recent visit to Bistro Moncur in June. The food was excellent, and service from our blond haired waiter was really good.Only one complaint, while we were still eating, some plates were being cleared from the table by one of the waitresses. It is normal etiquette they should wait till the whole table finishes eating before clearing empty plates. By clearing plates away, it makes others at the table that might be slower eaters embarrassed, as they are the only ones with plates in front of them, they then feel they have to rush to finish their meals.The style of chairs were not very comfortable, it would be nicer to be able to be more comfortable. I guess there is not a lot of room for comfortable chairs. This is the reason I rated the atmosphere less.We have over the years spent a lot of time dining at Bistro Moncur, and we were very impressed with everything again this time.We will definitely be back, as it was one of the best meals we have had for a long time. There were 6 of us, and everyone’s different meals were excellent. The fish special was fantastic, souffle, both the twice cooked one and the dessert one were exceptional. Definately a must have.So definately a must go to restaurant, it is really good to see the signature meals still on the menu.

The best French restaurant in Sydney!Impeccable customer service and the meals were amazing, with generous portions. Highly recommend the French Onion Souffle Gratin and the Chicken Liver Pate.The Pear Tarte Tatin was also incredible, and the perfect finish to the evening.Will definitely come back when we visit Sydney again.

Food, wine and service was all excellent. The crab omelette for entree was probably the best dish we had on the day. Everything else we ate was also amazing. The only thing I could find to fault was the table we were on was too small for 4 people. Will definitely be coming back.

We have been dining at Bistro Moncur for many years. The quality of the food, atmosphere and level of service is still outstanding! It is always so enjoyable to dine at Bistro Moncur. Highly recommended!

It was a wonderful experience!! It was my partner's bday and we decided to let Paul choose the menu for us. We were absolutely satisfied with all that he chose, our taste buds were very happy and amazed!! Also, his choice of wine was simply excellent. I have not had alcohol in over 6 years and the glass of wine he went for was just the right one, it felt really enjoyable. I loved it! On top of that, he surprised us with a beautiful 'Happy bday chocolate sign in the desert and a cute candle!!! Wow
