Perfect place to stay with your fur child. Room was very clean and exceeded my expectations. Owners Mary and Ken are lovely people and the setting was quiet and relaxing. Plenty of grass and shade for our Louie to wander around. Pool was perfect for a cooling dip during the afternoon. Also communal camp kitchen is well appointed for those who don’t want to dine out. Great find!!

What a warm and genuine welcome by Mary!! Mary was very accommodating, kind and caring. Our stay was fantastic. The whole vibe of the other guests was so happy. A lovely, much needed retreat for us. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Everything was very clean and fresh. Amazing bathroom. May I add that Mary has a cafe at Back Creek which has great coffee, great breakfast, yummy sweets, but to top it off every single staff member was incredibly NICE! Nothing was ever any trouble. All generous serves too. We will be back.

It shows this is a dog friendly resort. So we booked it and stayed there for one night couple days ago. Unfortunately our dog broke it’s leash at midnight and scared the owner and her bird. We felt very sorry and said apologies to her. But she charged ＄1000 from our credit card without any pictures evidence ( she said the dog damaged lots of things) after we left.We are gong to call fair trading nsw to seek help.

My partner and I are were travelling through on a long interstate journey and called Ken and Mary to see if we could spend the night. They provided exceptional hospitality. We enjoyed our evening and the retreat was a truly wonderful place. So clean and tidy with many thoughtful bits you would need to spend the night. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to return!

The owner Mary is an incompetent, manipulative, rude liar. We initially called to book directly with the place, the lady on the phone (Mary) confirmed it all and when we rock up the same lady had mistakenly booked us for the the wrong date and blamed us for it. When we had confirmed the dates with her and made her repeat it back to us and said yep all booked.When we turned up, she couldn't find out booking under any name or remember speaking to us. She said she'll sort it out for us which we thought she did as she sounded apologetic..but the next morning she knocks on our door to say we have to check out and leave as she has other guests coming to our room..when she said she had sorted it out for us!!!On top of that, the room was filthy, dusty, dirty and smelt like damp sheets. The air con was covered in mould and we found a big cockroach lying on the couch.Absolutely disgusting service, I would advise on staying away from this place. They're liars.

Stayed last night, mary and ken was so professional and friendly, rooms was amazing to stay in, big comfortable bed, the rooms was fresh and clean, very lovely place to take Ur pet and relax, Mary and ken have done a great job turning the guest house in to what it is today, well done.

Spoke with Ken and Mary prior to making a reservation for the Easter long weekend, somehow my booking was moved to May (the following month) after I have confirmed with them the dates I have requested are confirmed. Assuming I still had my booking for April, (was charged prior) my wife and I made our way up to the retreat" only to find out that our booking was missing and was not in their poorly organised booking system.We managed to stay 1 night instead of the 4 nights that I originally booked for

We had a lovely time staying here, the retreat is so peaceful and the rooms are generous and comfortable, with lovely views of the gardens. We enjoyed the outdoor bbq area and tennis court. Mary and Ken are friendly and accomodating hosts.Would definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful location.

Just beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. Nature is everywhere. The hosts were absolutely delightful. We will be going back without question. We HIGHLY recommend this amazing location.Stephen and Louise

We stayed here and had the most wonderful experience. A beautiful bush land setting and the rooms are just amazing. Loved the outdoor kitchen and enjoyed playing tennis. We would not hesitate to recommend to stay at Smoky cape retreat for a great relaxing stay. Will be back.
