Mieke has adapted to the current times and runs excellent online workshops on specific topics. I have undertaken two and have been really pleased with her professional approach. I have learnt new techniques to enhance my photography through her workshops and recommend them very highly.

“Nailing the focus in landscape photography” - what a great workshop! I learnt so many important tips to elevate my skills that I wish that I had known sooner. What I have learnt from Mieke in a couple of hours is going to make a big difference to my photography and I can’t wait to get out and put these new skills into practice.The workshop is presented in a way that is easy to follow with great examples to assist with understanding. The course notes that you can print off complement the video and make it so easy to follow. This workshop was absolute value for money, and I thoroughly enjoyed this mode of learning. The ability to replay it over a couple of weeks is perfect so you can enjoy and learn at your own pace.I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to learn more about landscape photography from Mieke, it was excellent!

I am generally a children/action photographer, and have had my eyes opened up to landscape photography. Mieke has proven content knowledge and also knows how to communicate it so you don't feel like you are in a photography-101 funpack.Mieke has a very gentle and easy to listen to Australian accent, it guides you through the workshop content as if you were walking through a botanical garden ready to shoot a roll of film.I got some of these videos as a gift, I would 10/10 recommend to gift to anyone who wants to develop their skills further.

Over the last year during the many lockdowns in Melbourne, I joined four of Mieke’s virtual workshops: Creative and Abstract Photography Part I & Part II, Black and White Photography Essentials and Entering Photography Competitions. I learnt so much out of these sessions, in particular confidence to enter more photography competitions, and with pleasing results! All the sessions were very well researched and prepared with informative notes and images. Thank you Mieke, for sharing your expertise and inspiring us to share your love of photography!

Mieke is an amazing photographer who is also lucky enough to be able to combine that with being an amazing teacher. Her workshops are inspiring and cover a broad range of topics. We are so lucky that she has brought her knowledge out into the online world so we can all share in it during these strange times we are now living in. Highly recommend.

I've done a course and a tutorial session with Mieke and both have been excellent. Mieke has a very engaging way of teaching and a tutorial session with her is a special treat and a lot of fun. She prepares well for the session and will ask to see some images in advance to help guide the conversation. To have a photographer of Mieke’s calibre looking at your images and providing considered feedback is a real privilege and an opportunity to learn a lot. She conveys a lot of feedback and learnings in a very constructive and encouraging way. I came away from my session buzzing and inspired and with lots of information and ideas on processing and creative photography. Highly recommend a session with Mieke or one of her courses; I will be back for more.

I am a photography hobbyist looking to get the best out of my camera and improve my skills so that I may do my own wall art for home. It was after visiting Mieke and Matts awe inspiring gallery in Bright Victoria that I decided to engage in one Mieke's online tutorials Nailing the focus in Landscape photography" It was well presented and the principles covered were clearly explained. The tutorial both consolidated and expanded my knowledge in this very area. I will definitely continue down this path of watching her tutorials with the goal of attending one of the workshops in the future."
