Fibre Arts Take Two

Participating in Making Connections with Cat Holmes has permanently altered my view of self as an artist. In addition to learning many new techniques, I developed a practice of art-making and a new feeling of confidence. The format was perfect for learning, wonderful videos and pdfs and an online community component in the Facebook group. Having the feedback from Cas, other students and the FATT team facilitated my growth and inspiration. I highly recommend this course! Thank you to all who put it together.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to speak about my work and process with Angela at the Friday Feature Artist interview. Fibre Arts Take Two is simply a cut above. It was my pleasure to meet them through Donna Watson’s Masterclass, The Essence of Identity (p.s. highly recommend) and then through the honor of being invited as a Friday Feature Artist. I was so excited to discuss my work and especially Lift the Sky, my global art project. Ang was warm and wonderful to have a conversation with, and the interview resulted in quite a number of Fibre Arts Take Two community members participating by creating contributions to the project. It has all been wonderful and I recommend Fibre Arts Take Two from their varied interviews to great courses from exceptional artists from around the world.

It was a pleasure to by interviewed by artist Tara Axford for Friday Featured Artist. I was able to promote the interview to my followers who joined us in addition to people throughout Australia. Getting international exposure for my work was wonderful. Tara did her research about my art career and asked questions that were engaging and fun to respond to. So much care has gone in to every aspect they are beautifully filmed and being online allows you to go at your own pace and return to revisit sessions and information. The best course I have ever done. Cas Holmes gave so much of her knowledge , she is a great tutor. I like the course because it brought drawing, painting and stitch together in an interesting way and has really motivated me to create in new ways. It's an added bonus that it's there for life!
