Told it would be a 2 hour wait at 9pm and to phone back if i changed my mind and didn't want to wait. (First booking the next morning was 9am!) I was told they would message on approach (NRMA normal procedure) and yes I could wait indoors. Two hours later I phoned back to be told that they had been and gone as the car was unattended. No message, no ph call, no note on car and no real acknowledgement that it was an unacceptable thing to do. I don't think anyone has attended and suspect from the operators indifference it is a common event. Addition after NRMA reply: To all people who try to make their co look better, don't. It negates the customers experience. A simple apology would be preferable. A spiel about what the co does when it clearly hasn't, is insulting to peoples intelligence. Politicians, banks, companies and all of us as individuals need to be honest to re-gain respect.

I have been a member 40 years. Had a flat battery 8am and spent 2 hours trying to get a response from NRMA by phone. Finally got onto NRMA batteries and told they would bring me a new battery. When serviceman arrived he tested my battery and told me it was flat (as if I didn't know that) and then said unfortunately he didn't have a replacement battery and suggeted I go to SuperCheap and get a replacement. The whole process was just a frustating waste of time!

My battery had gone flat twice and was nearly five years old so I decided to get a new one. I rang NRMA & 20 minutes later the Bathurst NSW patrolman was there installing a new one. He even used a small backup battery to make sure I didn't lose the settings on the car's radio while he changed the battery !! He checked to make sure the alternator was charging the battery properly and I was then able to pay the bill with a credit card machine that must have been hooked up to a mobile network. The new battery, better quality than the last one, was also cheaper. All around fabulous service, very impressive.

Needed the NRMA when I had a flat battery. They arrived within 20 Minutes and started the car immediately. The nice man checked the battery to see whether it needed replacing. Mr NRMA told me it still had plenty of life but needed a good long run to recharge itself. Great to get solid advice that didn’t have me spending money unnecessarily. Great service and value for money.

I persuaded my daughter to join NRMA. Then she needed a new battery. They charged her $460 for a battery for a basic Hyundai i30. Supercheap Auto sell similar batteries for $260, Repco for $200. NRMA is a ripoff and takes advantage of stranded, vulnerable drivers. Their advertising that states their batteries are competitive is a lie. The advertising is false. This is nothing like the company I joined 40 years ago.

Hi, I Called NRMA last week for battery replacement for a 1998 Toyota at Blacktown. The operator quoted $230.00.I found this a little expensive so I googled a mobile service and they quoted $130.00. Wow!!!I then went to Costco and bought an Exide Advantage Heavy Duty Battery for $105.00 and replaced it myself.Which I'm sure is better than the unbranded generic battery NRMA sells.NRMA is cheating unsuspecting customers.A 100% make up is ridiculous.

45 yr. member the first one failed after a few months, the replacement failed as well, the road service guy suggested a undetected electric leak, the auto electrician quote nothing wrong so can not fix after a quick jump start and mobile service fee no charge, the next service NRMA mobile guy said the same thing - charging, readout all good, my local mechanic threw it away and replaced with a Century, good as gold ever since FG 2009 Falcon maybe a bad batch BIG HEADACHE

Cheap rubbish battery and they do not honor the warranty, after it died when only 43 days old, I went to my mechanic who said my car is good
