Solmech

I enjoyed my very short time working with Solmech at the Palmer installation! The team was great especially Steven Tolmie as our supervisor! He really cares about the health and safety of everyone on site! And was really supportive when I decided the heat was abit too much for me, being a young kid back then. Given the chance I would probably go back to work with them! I forget the ladies name but there was also an older girl there that took me under her wing and was really good to me!

I've found Solmech a great Team to be a part of.

That subcontractor is a real joke.First day on-site on one of their project, no one to refer to when new people turn up, no proper safety induction on-site before starting the task, just read and sign the swms, no HSE whatsoever to monitor safety on-site and brief new people unless he was hiding, no safety instruction regarding working near plant, power or moving machines or pinch point, crossing road, no real structure and on-site transportation is at random and luck. No one tells you who’s the supervisor on-site or leading hands and a good well old fashion way to manage people like any basic crop farm.Very chaotic and unprofessional.

Currently working for Solmech and would highly recommend. Their renewables projects are rewarding and the opportunity I have been given to increase my current skill set and move up in my role has been incredible.
