A few years ago I bought a custom-made Hurdy Gurdy from the US. Broke a string while trying (unsuccessfully) to tune it. Felt uncertain about how to progress so the instrument gathered dust. Finally asked Gig Guitars (local to me in Glen Innes) if they could help me out. Pleased to say that even though the instrument was unfamiliar to them, they successfully restrung and tuned the instrument for me so now my Hurdy Gurdy is up and going for me to return to learn to play. First class job guys, esp Rico!

Rico provides some of the best service I’ve ever had when it comes to music! I needed a pedal for an acoustic guitar asap, and he went above and beyond to order it in and have it available within 48 hours straight to me. Definitely recommend Gig Guitars for anything guitar-related!

The store is great. Interesting selection of instruments. A really friendly and relaxed place. You’re welcome to pick up an instrument and play without any pressure to buy. Rico is a champion. His guitar setups are great. A truely friendly guy.

The owner, Ricko, is a salt of the earth, open and honest legend with a wealth of experience and knowledge. His prices are more than fair and his shop is well stocked with quality instruments, both new and old. While on town with my band Ricko was able to sort us out with everything we needed - see you next time we’re in town!
