Very peaceful and beautiful. We can hear the beautiful birds chipping, and if lucky enough we can see Jabiru bird from very close distance

One of the highlights of a big NT trip. We saw two crocs, heaps of birds and some lizards. Great viewing station and a lovely spot to stop. It was 38 degree when we went so we skipped the walk around the wetlands, but it was nice and shaded in the viewing area.

Short little walk from carpark to the bird 'hide' viewing area, which was quiet large, you would be able to fit a busloads of tourists in. Informative panels on back wall, however not as much bird life (lots of lillies and reeds) as we saw down at Shady Camp, thay also had a viewing platform( more open), and the wildlife there was amazing. Croc's, birds ducks, geese, finches, Wallabies, fish and Cows!

This was a place we stopped for a break, on the way to Kakadu. Wonderful little stop, amazing wetlands, with a great facility to look over the wetlands. Awesome location for the avid bird watcher. Free. Has a clean drop toilet.

Ran into this stop on accident. Beautiful! Saw so many birds and kangaroos. Short trail of 3 minutes very close to the parking area. There's a free binocular to use.

A beautiful and well-designed viewing platform makes it a very enjoyable visit. Lots of information is provided in relation to the wetlands and its inhabitants, and a few benches ensure enough time to sit down and soak it all in. The no-coin-needed binoculars are much appreciated.

Wow. If you love birdwatching this place is a definite must-do if you are visiting Kakadu. Even during the dry season, on the day I visited, there must have been over ten thousand birds. There is a circuit that takes roughly 1.5hr to complete. Here you'll see a range of mammals, finches and various bush birds.Seeing the sunrise over the wetlands and hearing the dawn chorus was incredible. Definitely worth the drive.
