Got a takeaway tonight. We ordered a hunky dory bowl and a piece of grilled fish and a potato cake. Got home. No sight of potato cake. And the broccoli in the hunky bowl smelled off and didn’t taste fresh. They were not even busy and yet messed up a very simple takeaway order. I won’t go back there again and strongly suggest whoever gets takeaway, make sure to check your order before you leave the shop. Absolutely disappointing.

Update:Been a while since I last visited, I was surprised to see the place completely empty on Sunday at lunch time! But it didn’t take long to figure out why, the food quality took a deep dive, the fish batter was thick and felt like leather then it left a horrible after taste because they added too much baking soda also the fries were dry and didn’t taste good, I hope the owner read this and take quick action, hate to see this place fail!

Food and service was great. JJ was very helpful explaining the menu and giving suggestions. Servings of food were quite large. Chips where crispy on outside and fluffy on inside, just how I like them. Nice, new, fresh interior, and nice outdoor seating. I highly recommend this place.

Have gotten takeout here multiple times with no issues, but today both our salads had lots of dirt/sand in it, and one of the orders had a weird blue colouring on the fish.

Greeted by staff member. Sat us down, told we can order via QR code or you at counter in person. Ordered grilled flakes, green salad and chips. Arrived fairly quickly, plenty of people dining, so good sign. Blue grenadier was out of stock, so ordered grilled flake, Greek salad and chips. Flake was nice, chips a little overcooked.

Unfortunately this hunky dory doesn't compare to the others like in south Melbourne and Port Melbourne. Their grilled fish was half the size of the ones given in south melb, Richmond, Port Melbourne and highett also not a fresh taste . The tomato's in the Greek salad were old and not fresh, the chips were cooked in old oil. You can definitely taste it. Rice part was good and generous amount of olives in Greek salad. 2 lovely people working. Just the food is not up to the hunky dory standard.

Awesome place for seafood lovers. We had Grilled seafood and salad" with added chips which was delicious and I highly recommend it. Staff was friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere."
