Stayed here for our wedding and had wedding photos.....safe to say she was incredibly rude to our guests; unprofessional wearing her dressing gown at 6pm whilst abusing our guests; don't be fooled by the picture of the brochure with a bride and groom with a toddler.....children are prohibited and will be charged extra, whilst still giving them filthy looks the entire time! Accused us of lying about guest numbers. Overcharged us by about $230....and would not give us an invoice or even a reason. The list goes on and on. The garden itself was fine. Give someone enough rope and they will hang themselves.....just listen to Lyn's response!!!

Excellent place. We stopped over for a break on our way to Kiama. We received warm welcome from the owners, who are chefs. They were generous enough to allow us to visit their garden. They showed around their beautiful garden and house and answered all our questions about the place very patiently. They accepted our offer to share our food and were curious to know how we prepared it.Definitely will stay at their holiday accommodation next time I visit the place.

I visited Foxglove Spires recently and although I received a warm and friendly reception from Lyn I would suggest not visiting these gardens at present. I really think that they are not up to the standard necessary to warrant an open garden with a $9 entry fee. The pictures on the 10 year old board at the entrance do show that they were once beautiful, well maintained and definitely worth a visit. The garden is completely overgrown - shrubs have not been pruned, weeds abound and there is not even one small section of the garden that has been well tended. There is no cohesive planting design and very little seasonal interest. It gives a strong sense of having been let go.The garden has huge potential and Lyn explained a lot of excavting work has been done to solve site problems. I would recommend a consulatation with a horticulturalist to get the plants back into good shape and to design a new plantiing scheme that extends interest throughout the seasons and to contribute a 'wow factor'. I think some new perennial planting with ornamenatl grasses (e.g. in the bed above the beautiful curved wall feature) could be quite spectacular. Lyn could do well to visit other always open gardens e.g. Red Cow Farm to see what can be done through the seasons and what sort of maintenance standard is needed for a garden to be open.It seems to me it would be wise to close the gardens 'for renovation' and give themslevs time to do this - and I strongly recommend they obtain some professional help if these gardens are to be worth visiting in the future.

For a place that had a great potential we had an “ok” time, the communication from the host was appalling from the start. The suite we were in had luxurious touches but I wouldn’t say was 5 star, the room was tidy and the furnishings great but missing the small touches like a coffee machine and maybe welcome package.WiFi was offered in the suite as no cellphone coverage was possible but this was so poor nothing still worked, a booster or another router would be a bonus. The gardens were clean and well set out unfortunately was the wrong time of year to fully appreciate all of the work and see anything in bloom.

The gardens are gorgeous, morning tea was amazing and the service was great. I brought a group of seniors and more than a few wanted to return for the Tiramasu alone! We were treated to a history of the garden renovations and some country hospitality. Do not be put off by talk of renovations; the ground is level, the gardens are enchanting and we had a no trouble navigating the grounds with a group of less mobile people. Thank you for having us Lyn, we hope to visit again soon!

Beautiful spring blossoms and roses surround the pretty lake, not to mention the cute new duckilngs. Lyn and Robert are doing a lovely job in restoration and are also great hosts. Lyn cooks a delicious breakfast, not to be missed! The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and delightfully themed. Booking, welcome and care were excellent! Thank you for a terrific week and we are so glad we came to Foxgloves!!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Foxglove & Co. We were placed in a beautifully renovated, cosy cottage with French Provincial decor that was stunning. The highlight our stay, was breakfast in the gorgeous gardens. We were amazed at how good the gardens are, particularly after the drought and fires. After reading the reviews we thought some people must have been talking about a different garden other than Foxglove. We were very impressed. The owners, Lyn and Robert have been managing, creating and expanding the gardens over the last 9 years and we loved the romantic character they have maintained while adding a completely new dimension. We will definitely be back in spring.

While I can't speak for the accommodation as yet ( I will be returning to stay here), I can say that my experience here was amazing. I came to visit not knowing about the place, and stopped in on a whim driving through Tilba Tilba. I parked in the easy to find on site parking and wondered into the gardens, past the sign which clearly states entry to the gardens carries a modest fee of $9. I looked for the owners who must have been busy at the time (I visited very shortly after the NYE 2019 firestorm which created a big mess for them to clean up), but upon sighting them when I'd started walking through, they were very kind, accommodating and welcoming to me. I was encouraged to take my time wondering through the gardens and that I could pay my contribution on the way out. I spent at least half an hour enjoying the atmosphere and beautiful gardens - $9 was a BARGAIN! On the way out I didn't have any cash - which was no problem as I was able to pay through Square with my card - no worries at all. I was shocked after reading some of the reviews in recent times about how the gardens aren't at their old standards" - I have to say

This is only for the garden as I haven't stayed there. The 1-star reviews are unfair. Rob and Lyn are friendly and easy to talk to. The place is a labour of love for them and obviously the garden and the cottages are going to be in a constant pace of change; despite being only two of them they have wonderfully transformed the place since they bought it 7 years ago. The garden is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place, ideal for letting out your creative energy. Recommended for artists and writers!
