I purchased a Sanden Heat Pump hot water system from Laros. I did not know much about heat pumps so needed a lot of advice. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff who helped me through the entire process - from the initial enquiry right through to the installation. Everything went so smoothly. I used one of their recommended plumbers (Tim O'Shea) who did excellent work and tidied up afterwards.The Sanden has now been installed for nearly 6 weeks and we are very happy with our choice. The heat pump is installed immediately under the bathroom window (always closed), and when it is operating we can be in the bathroom and not even hear it.From my experience, I can definitely recommend Laros Technologies.

5-stars isn’t enough to how we would rate the services and products we have received from LAROS. When we first contemplated on building a new home, we knew we needed expert advice and guidance on how to meet PassivHaus standard. From my first meeting with Daria, was immediately impressed with the knowledge and expertise on how to achieve such a standard in Canberra. Ever since, LAROS has provided excellent consultancy works and products for our new home. All the members of staff we've met throughout our build journey have been a pleasure to deal with too. It's been a very long road for us but now that our build is FINALLY transitioning towards its final stages of completion, I can honestly say that we could not have been happier or more grateful to have engaged a company that have shown us that they absolutely love what they do and show it through their work and love of the products they offer. No hesitancy referring people to LAROS who want consultancy or product supply on building an ultra-efficient home for life.

We recently fitted Laros windows to part of our older home. The change in acoustic and thermal values was instant. We have been able to lower the the central heating by one degree and we are still warmer than ever before. Parts of the house that previously dropped to 12C overnight now go no lower than 16C. Retro fitting the windows into our home was not easy but the installers did a great job by taking care and paying attention to detail. They were a pleasure to have on our property.

I would highly recommend Laros and Dopfner.The Laros team really know their product. Our consultant understood our needs very well and saw the project through from the initial quote to retrofit all our windows and doors to the end of the installation. We live near a busy road and the triple glazing means we no longer hear any traffic noise. The design of the windows lets in more light, we use less gas heating and the look of our home is more modern. Our consultant also worked closely with our builder who did a superb job on the installation, with top-notch finishes inside and out.

The team at Laros have been a huge support. I have bought the Dopfner triple glazed windows for the whole house, along with air extraction system, and now an ERV...and each team member has been extremely supportive. I am an owner-builder, and no matter how many questions I had the team were always prompt and technically in the know to support our renovation...and I’m in Melbourne, so all our communication was done by email and phone. For example, the Dopfner windows we ordered...we didn’t go to the Laros showroom in the ACT to see them, and relied on the detailed schematics and communication with Laros to place the order. And sure enough, when you go to as much detail as these guys, the windows delivered were exactly as we expected!As an engineer myself, I really appreciated their deep knowledge and attention to detail. Can’t recommend them highly enough! They are a breath of fresh air in this industry, and treat the customer with respect. Keep up the great work!

All we can say if Wow! My wife and I met with Daria yesterday to discuss window and door options for an older house we purchased and our desire to upgrade all the windows and doors to triple glazed. Daria was amazing! She spent over 90 minutes with us showing us the different options in the showroom and also suggesting changes to our current window and doors that would provide a better outcome for our needs. Her knowledge and experience is absolutely incredible. Thank you Daria, we feel in incredibly safe hands !

The modern knowledge, technology, and expertise provided by Laros has transformed the way my old home feels and our energy usage. I live in an old weatherboard house (1950s) with concrete tiles and decided to insulate the ceiling as much as I could, given the cost/benefit and it was too much hassle to do the walls. I laid down R7 worth of batts (2xR3.5 cross-laid to reduce airflow). However, I was very disappointed to find they didn't make nearly as much of a difference as I would have expected.The good people at Laros suggested laying a vapour-permeable water and windproof membrane across this thick layer of insulation to maximise its insulating properties by preventing air-movement through the batts. With their help, I got those batts snugly tucked in a blanket (see photo).The difference is night and day from the way it worked with just the batts. The house stays cool much longer, even on really hot days, and warm much longer on cold days. We don't need to keep the heater on like we used to - we just have it on for a while then shut it off for a couple of hours as the rooms retain their heat. We feel much better about our energy expenditure and carbon footprint. Given we can only do so much about the rest of the house leaking like a sieve, we're really happy we could give it this energy efficiency update and make such a difference.
