Every other weekend i take the kids to a ne qq area to check out a few aquarium shops this was our First trip to Campbelltown . Front of shop is so deceiving. Once in the back was blown away, Found a little gem with this shop. So glad there are still unique LFAs like this one around.

This fish shop is WOW!!! If you're looking for a proper fish shop, then you're looking at the right shop. This place has a great varities of freshwater and saltwater fishes. A very unique place and highly recommended to bring kids to introduce them to fish keeping. Was so surprise with the amount of different fishes available. Priced very reasonably or even cheaper then other fish store. The shop also makes their own aquariums and can make them to customers order. Great varities of betta fighting fish. A lot of different supply as it includes saltwater supplies. Can always bargain when buying more than one. Great guy too.

I've never written a bad review before but I'm honestly so upset. Please do not do business with these people.I have a custom built tank from them from a few years ago, it recently cracked and I needed a replacement. I ordered this in the beginning of November. I was told it would take 8-10 weeks.It's almost April and I still haven't received it. I consider myself pretty patient and would have been happy to wait if only they contacted me or updated me about my order.They have absolutely no customer service whatsoever. You'll be lucky if anyone answers the phone and forget emails, they never respond.My fish have been in a temporary set up this whole time and now I have to consider rehoming them and abandoning my fish keeping hobby altogether.I was hoping this was a quick and easy job, especially for a returning customer.Do not waste your time or money here.

Never seen such a long wait for anything in life. We approached them in April last year. It took time to agree on aquarium size style and cost. We paid $ 3000 as deposit last year September. Till date which is 6 months down the line there has been no activity. Apart from false promises that they would call back, someone will come to do ziprock , cabinet maker on holiday etc etc. We are usually very patient people but either they don't care or they are very disorganised. Why take on new work when you haven't finished previous work. Appalling really. Guys may be good at making aquarium but this neglect of customer is despicable.

If your after cichlids then definitely come and visit Abyss. One of the best in Sydney. They have a great range, very pure lines, very healthy and best of all the fish are cheap as they are bred in house. Tanks are always clean and disease free. If your after a custom tank then these guys may be a visit also. Their custom tanks are built nice and strong, the silicone work is ok, not the best probably due to being too busy.

Have purchased all sorts from custom made stands and tanks to fish and other items. Great service and knowledgeable staff! My go to !

Very nice and clean. Wide range and good quality fish. Super friendly staff. Definitely recommend and will be a regular customer from now.

Beware, beware, beware - you have been warned! The following review is an honest opinion on my first and last experience I will ever have dealing with this outright infamous company. Simply put, their actions were nothing short of fraudsters and after a total of 118 days (>3.5 months) of dealing with lies, a non-existant owner and left-field tactics, I had no other option than to force a chargeback and claim my money back on the basis of fraud. Know your rights and enforce them. Never pay cash and always use the insurance of your credit card if you choose to deal with this 'business.'It's bemusing that a company that 'prides' itself on building custom built aquariums could not even manage to construct a simple 2.5ft tank with centre weir, despite having thorough technical drawings provided before the order was placed. How they would cope with a larger aquarium is beyond me. The other reviews below stating a lack of communication are generous... these guys only bothered to start a dialogue after their reputation was put at risk, and even then it was mostly lies and/or delay tactics. Even after being caught out, the lack of accountability is phenomenal, blaming customers for previous job issues, past businesses and even their own store owner for my job going wrong. It is deeply disturbing to find that the company denied my job even existed when recommendations to search for another company were made online, unless people are willing to wait a ridiculous amount of time. It’s interesting that these same tactics can be found in other different reviews below. If you're going to try and claim that the job doesn't exist even when bank statements and email communications are available and clearly show a withdrawal, then the only other reasoning to justify such deductions is pure theft! When the seriousness of the scenario was pressed on staff, their tactics shifted to claiming that because there was no formal quote I had nothing to validate the case against them. An uncanny scenario considering they failed to provide a formal quote, which not only shows a direct breach of trade regulations but an attempt to illegally suggest the job was not traceable and could not be refunded back. I strongly suggest any future risk-takers to this company pay by means which are traceable. My job had email communication logs, digital payments and detailed drawings and still managed to result in such complications. I wonder how the business survives. It leads me to believe they are financially incompetent, with severe organisational issues. Numerous attempts to contact the owner went unheard and leads me to believe the he was not only aware, but playing ignorant on the issues raised.It's unfortunate this review does not allow negative stars, because one star is generous in suggesting some form of service was provided, which certainly was not the case. If there were negative stars available this company would deserve a 5/5. P.S. don't be fooled with the overall rating of this company, there are numerous internal reviews written by staff to boost the overall appearance - what genuine company would need to do this? Don't get reeled into the deep and seemingly bottomless chasm that is Abyss.

These guys are happy to take your money then leave you for dead!Worst experience ever. Purchased a 5 foot custom tank in October 2020. My wife and I were told by Benny on the day it would take 8 weeks to complete! Tank was ready 6 months later march 2021. Excuses after excuses!When it was finally ready they delivered the tank, I asked them to connect all piping and fittings as this was our first tank with a sump. All I had to do was connect the pump which was very easy. Upon filling the tank and running the pump for the first time I found a leak in the piping also the weir was leaking flooding the sump, After speaking to Benny he told me this was normal and Peter the owner would call the next day to sort it all out!!! IM STILL WAITING FOR HIS CALL!!! Complete liers...I called and called left messages for Peter but nothing.....from this point on I knew I was on my own.I purchased a new tank not to have any problems what a mistake buying from Abyss... tank will now cost me more money to fix by someone else. Don't understand how these people run a business with absolute zero customer service and communication is non existent!!! I hope this saves someone from making the same mistake as we did.
