Saturday night dinner was very quiet. Steak was well done (asked for medium) and the two mains came out 15 minutes apart. Food was OK and the chips were delicious. Cocktails are good value. I suspect more suited to breakfasts and lunches.

The staff are very friendly and attentive. There are 3 separate eating area so cafe feels open and uncluttered with lots of natural light. I ordered vegetarian breakfast but got a raised eyebrow when I added salmon...even though eggs are already included. Spinach & Halloumi were not cooked sufficiently for my tastes. Remaining ingredients were cooked well and delicious. Coffee was lukewarm but I've noticed this trend across Melbourne in recent months.

I ordered nachos and got a plate of corn chips with tomato paste (not salsa) and melted cheese. Had to ask for the sour cream and guacamole, however it didn't cover up the taste of too much tomato paste and I couldn't eat it. Also very concerning how dirty the place was. My partner ordered the salt and pepper squid and again no sauce on anything and the squid was rubbery (overcooked). We live very close by and there's plenty of other nicer cafes around, so we won't be back unfortunately unless they get a new chef and pay more attention to hygiene.

Nice open place creates a good atmosphere. Love the food! The special we had was very nice, although the special Rostie was just a normal hash brown, but the beetroot hummus was perfect. The customer service could have been a bit better. Other than those aspects the overall experience was wonderful!

Arrived to be greeted by staff in a extremely pleasant way. Advised that they were busy and apologised for any possible delays. There we’re absolutely no delays at all. Staff were unbelievably efficient and attended to our table at the first available opportunity. The food was next level. Everything was what we expected and more. I can highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be returning for another fabulous feed.

Good food and friendly service, the Breakfast Bruschetta was delicious although the serving size felt a bit small. The chicken parmigiana was huge and tasted brilliant, one of the better chicken parmis in melbourne. Chicken scallopini was delicious the sauce was amazing, couldve done with a few more bits of chicken. The coffee was brilliant, both iced and hot were great.

My disappointment in Coventry’s Pantry is with their management.The service itself was nice and the food was very enjoyable. What seriously frustrated me, however, is that we dined during Happy Hour and the owner wouldn’t honour the Happy Hour pricing.Both staff members, who served us, knew we were there on a booking through The Fork. I asked which cocktails are included in their Happy Hour (as the menu specified that it covers selected cocktails only) and, upon confirmation, we ordered a couple of cocktails. I then asked which house wine is included in the Happy Hour and ordered myself a glass.When it came to paying, the owner processed the food in one transaction (which is, of course, understandable) and then she charged full price for the alcohol. I brought it immediately to her attention, but she said she won’t discount it since the food was discounted. Now, this wouldn’t have been a problem if it was explained to us when ordering the drinks, however, the staff didn’t advise us of this — they confirmed that, as part of Happy Hour, we can choose between two cocktails and they confirmed what wine we could order at the discounted price.It’s frustrating as businesses use promotional bookings to try capture a bigger customer base. After this experience, I wouldn’t return back nor I’d recommend Coventry Pantry to anyone in my network.

Ordered two vegetarian breakfasts, both came cold. Also has a weird bit of string in one.Milkshakes also only fill half the cup (despite paying $7 each for them). The caramel milkshake doesn’t taste like caramel, it’s basically just thickened milk.Hazelnut milkshake was 50% just frothChips were nice though, so I guess that’s one extra star

Great service with friendly staff. Food reasonably priced and well presented. Even better value when book with discount app Eat Club and The Fork. Salmon and steak are good. Will be back more often.
