Great spot. The track gets steep but is well maintained. Well worth the 2.5km walk in!

The Basin is massively under rated! Its absolutely gorgeous and very secluded. Full of nature beautiful scenery. We parked at the beginning of the trail on the main road. Walked for about 30 minutes and stayed there all day and had to do the dreaded treck back up hill to get back to the car. It's a pretty hard up Hill walk for people unfit. So what I would do next time is park at Palm beach and get the boat across to The Basin. I would also camp next time as they have Camping Ground with toilets and an outdoor cooking area. Loved it. There are wallabies everywhere and guanas! Beaut!

Nice short trail down to the water. It gets daily steep towards the end.

Beautiful and serene, an amazing escape for a day or a weekend. Family friendly with tons of incredible Aussie wildlife. Always lovely.

Pretty, but for such a small patch can feel crowded on the weekrnd. We enjoy renting the kayaks and paddleboards but can't go far

Nice easy wide trail ending with the spectacular Basin campgrounds. It has a steep decline at the end so might be a bit tedious to climb back for little kids.

Excellent place for a short camp close to Sydney. Good for kids for swimming. Can hike in or catch ferry.

Aboriginal stone carvings are larger than expected, and with some fantasy easy to see. The nature, the trees, the flours are stunning
