Discount Drug Store Deception Bay

11/8/20 I popped in to get something to help an upset tummy, I looked around for some stuff and was disappointed that the only way I could get help was to go up to the counter. I was helped by Jinsuk who took me through the benefits of the different products after asking me some questions. Going by her uniform I believe I had one of the pharmacist instead of staff member. I was very appreciative of the time and information shared by Jinsuk. As I ended up buying a product that fixed the upset tummy but I can also use the product proactively.

I've been to this chemist to have scripts filled twice. The first time I waited 50 minutes only for them to have misplaced it and have to start again. Today I gone in and they said 15 minutes. I don't mind if I have to wait but when I'm told 15 minutes and I'm running late to pick my child up from daycare and it's been 40 minutes with no sign of the script, it's a bit frustrating.

Really rude pharmacist.. I have a severe allergy and it was like I was the worst person in the world for checking that the ingredient wasn't in the medication

Went to amcal d.bay tonight with a skin rash. The pharmacist there, and assistant, both mature aged women, gave superb service delivery in both knowledge and good old fashion courtesy. I presented with a skin irritation, and after observations, recommended an antihistamine. The pharmacist even overviewed an allergic reaction I have to a certain group of drugs and was careful and caring enough, to recommend something safer for me. And it worked so well. This service standard was excellent and unmatched. Such caring, professional women, they are positive role models. The pharmacist went above and beyond to be helpul. From Yasmin.F.

I had a staff member (a girl with dark hair, ponytail had a fringe, looked to be cross eyes and wearing a cardigan) serve me who was extremely rude for no reason. She was super aggressive, had a bad attitude, she scoffed at me and rolled her eyes at me. I have never been treated so badly in a place where you go to get help for something. Not to mention it was my birthday yesterday when I went into the chemist to grab something that I needed. I left the chemist fighting back tears and ended up crying on my way home. I work in a salon and I work with people 24/7 and I have never treated someone so poorly. I ended up talking to the manager of the chemist and explained how badly this staff member had treated me. She asked me if I wanted to know what that staff members reply was to what I had said about her, which I replied no because I don’t care what that girl had to say to me. A person like that shouldn’t be working in a place where you need to deal with people constantly. That girl should be out of the job completely. I didn’t get her name but I certainly will no be coming back to this chemist ever again. All I got was a sorry and that was it. Learn some custom service and how to be professional. Even if a client or a customer is rude to you and you don’t agree with the way that they’re treating you you still have an obligation to be professional in the workplace. I have to assume that this particular girl has been complained about before and if she still has a job with this clinic it really speaks volumes about the people this chemist is willing to employ. I feel really sad for this girl.

I have given this particular pharmacy multiple chances to treat customers as if their needs are important. One specific female member has been rude, dismissive or just plain ignored me on several occasions (for which she had to apologise to me for) As for the other 15 odd staff members who stand out the back having a chat while there are people waiting to have their prescriptions filled, not a good look when the staff to customer ratio is pretty even compared to other chemists who have minimal staff but still manage to get your scripts done in a fraction of the time. The last straw was when I'd specifically called ahead to get a script dispensed yesterday because I've been in excruciating pain all long weekend, only to get to a fairly empty chemist with one of the several pharmacists having a chat and still hadn't dispensed my medication causing me to stand and wait in agony while he did what he should've already done. I'm now going to a much smaller chemist where you feel like you matter and aren't waiting while people who are employed to help you, stand around laughing and having a chat. Never going there to buy so much as Panadol again.

This is the most disgusting chemist to deal with. I went in with a prescription for very personal women's stuff. When the pharmacist called out my name, I thought that was quick but then she proceeded to say what my script was for and what it actually was AS I was walking up to the counter! Everyone in the shop could hear and most looked. I spoke to the pharmacist in a lowered voice encouraging her to lower hers. Then when the counter girl brought me my medication she did the same in her very loud voice. Does respect and privacy mean nothing to these people. This is not the first time but it is certainly the last! I will never get my scripts there again. I to tried to find contact details to lodge a complaint but obviously Amcal don't want you doing this as there are none anywhere. Except for the notice inside stating the head pharmacist's name. Yes the rude one. Plus the amount of times I have had to be interrogated about my medication before they would give it to me. Way beyond the usual - have you had this before. Do they not trust the doctors who write the scripts or do they feel they are far more qualified?This chemist is definitely one to avoid. I have replied to the owner's response.

Everytime I visit this chemist the service is so slow, so many staff standing around but no one serving on the front counter, get ignored by staff then treated rudely when served.

Only put one star because will not allow no stars to be given. Will not be going to this chemist again. Three times, on different occasions, my doctor has emailed a script through and three times the pharmacy could not find anything until the doctor rang them, and then suddenly it appears. The last occasion the email could not be found again and the surgery was closed, so could not speak with my doctor. I spoke with an assistant and advised of the situation, explaining that I required the medication urgently and gave a partial explanation of why the situation was so urgent, and asked what could be done, all she said was the script had not been received. I explained the situation again and asked what could be done, again, she said she would speak to the pharmacist. The pharmacist got on the phone and just kept repeating that the email had not be received, even though I was asking what could be done until tomorrow morning. The pharmacist was rude and did not listen to what was being said. I found the whole experience to be frustrating and unprofessional. No one was interested in finding a solution and just kept repeating the same thing again and again. They didn't even listen to what I was saying when explaining the situation and made no effort to offer solutions. I terminated the call out of frustration because nothing was being resolved and the pharmacist was quite rude.
