Abercrombie House
Beautiful old house. Very cluttered inside feels like there is too much stuff inside not relevant to a house of that age. The owners were welcoming and are fixing the place themselves so doesn't seem to have government funding support etc. Small entry fee $15. Beautiful gardens

One of best places to bookmark while travelling to Bathurst.Had a pleasant experience here. Peacocks steal the show and thanks to those who work behind to maintain this place.

I really enjoyed my morning at Abercrombie house. Seeing a part of our history still alive and housing an Aussie family was wonderful, it's like its still breathing. And the staff member was lovely and getting to talk to the family members on the day I was there was fantastic also.

Beautiful mansion, lots of antiques from all over the world. The owner is very nice. Must visit- we had so much fun taking photos and exploring the house! Even if it’s just for a quick stop on your way to somewhere else.

Amazing visit if you are a vintage fan, even though we didn’t have the chance to go to one of the high tea activities. We met two furry friends who are so friendly and clingy, and that has definite become one of the highlights of our visit.

Would have happily spent many more hours here. What an absolutely beautiful home with access to the rooms. The owners were so helpful and happy to share information about their home. I had to leave after about 90mins so will be back!!! The furnishings were extraordinary, thank you for sharing!

Loved walking through this beautiful family home. So much to view and the grounds were nice to walk around, checked out the peacocks and peahens too. Furniture artworks and fireplaces were amazing. Enjoyed it for 2hrs+ Well worth the entry fee, will come back another time.

We did the garden self-tour only, which was fine as there are plaques full of information.Largest Scottish thistles that I have seen!It must be very hard to maintain the original very extensive gardens without considerable funding. Gardens seem to need a more singular vision, and are in danger of becoming a mishmash of enthusiasms.Peacocks were an unexpected highlight of this walk for us!
