Really a great place to stay, very good customer service from the hotel reception staffs , free car parking and a great view of hobart city. Close to Hobart CBD as well as key tourist spot, i will highly recommend this hotel in Tasmania.

Lovely friendly staff, only stayed two nights and received free drink from bar, great cheese platter and bottle of Storm Bay wine, have never received anything like that from any other place we’ve stayed! Really comfortable bed, and our room was serviced even tho it was only 2 night stay! Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend ..

Service was excellent. Very friendly and obliging staff. Food was fantastic. Well presented, great quantity, tasty cuisine for dinner and breakfast is good value. Great views from restaurant over the city. It s a couple of kilometres to walk to Salamanka markets but doable. Cleanliness was good everywhere particularly in our room. Beds were comfy and room was very spacious. Enjoyed the heritage aspect of the hotel, gardens were nice too. Great parking, very close to cricket n Afl ground.

Cool old hotel, right next to North Hobart footy oval. Very large room with everything you need. Bit of a hike up the hill from town, but not too bad

Stayed three nights. If you want excellent customer service this is the place to be. I didn't get the names of all staff but they were all excellent. Bee, the receptionist was super helpful. Had the best ice cream with waffles at breakfast. Kids absolutely loved it.It's an older building, so no lift but wasn't a problem for us as we had a ground floor room. Rooms are extra spacious which was a great plus with kids. Thank you for the experience Rydges Hobart, will visit again.

From the outside the hotel presents as just another building. But when I entered into my suite they have done a fantastic job of decor and setup, I had the best sleep and the staff are fantastic.

Wow!! I’m so glad to decided to stay here. The place is just beautiful. The reception was pleasant and easy. The superior king room just blew my mind it’s so gorgeous, possibly the nicest place I’ve stayed at and I’ve stayed at a a lot! The bedroom is lovely with the tv and even with a king it’s not squishy, plenty of room. The bathroom with the double sink and massive! Shower lovely!! I would stay here again in a heart beat! I can’t get over just how gorgeous the room is. I will nitpick a tiny bit though, the nightlights outside everyone’s room is a massive pain of a night even with thick curtains the light comes though and you can’t turn off because it’s for walking. Also the little loungeroom is beautiful but I do agree with everyone it’s a wasted space without a tv. Even a small one. Especially if you wanted to escape your snoring partner. Apart from them tiny 2 things I loved it!! I’m still here and I do not! Want to check out. Also the location is very practical your out of the city enough for it to be peaceful but the city and most surrounding suburbs are no more then a 5-10 drive. Sandybay is 10 minutes away. Very good location.

It's location is great 4 stars, but then it really does show it's 3 stars from there! The room had NO air-conditioning and only a Reject Shop broken pedestal fan. It was clean and comfortable but certainly not good value for money. There are no lifts and the paths between the rooms have overgrown hedges that mean you're brushing up against them which was not fun in the rain.Though the staff were great the facilities were more two and half not three stars

Beautiful rooms, warm and welcoming staff, great parking and location. No lift so could be difficult for those with mobility issues.

Stayed at the Rydges Hobart recently for work; accommodation was good but it was a little way out of the CBD.Accommodation itself was fine. Room was large, spacious and well equipped. Bathroom was large, bed comfortable; there was a little oddity in the room however where there was a large seating area separate from the actual bedroom. You can see it in the video; it’s not a problem, it just felt like dead space. The hotel itself had a bar and restaurant which was handy. Bar was a little thin in terms of wine list and service (front office attendant was also the bar worker during the day). There was no food service when I arrived which was a bit of a disappointment.Ultimately a reasonable spot for accommodation but just a little out of the CBD.
