BIG4 Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park

Nice park, with easy access to the Botanic Gardens, public swimming pool and just across the road from The Mill, which has coffee, cafe and a huge vintage market. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The two amenities blocks are top class, recently redone and very clean. Best family/accessible bathroom I have ever seen in a caravan park, with a completely flat floor, flip down bench seating in both the shower area and the dry area, big enough area to manoeuvre wheelchair with ease, accessible sink and toilet, huge mirror, plus a bath. The accessible toilet in the main amenities block is also brilliant, with plenty of room and even a mirror in the cubicle so you can make sure you are presentable before leaving the cubicle. Well done!

Stayed on a Thursday night in May 2023.Perfect location, right near a lot of the local dining venues and easy access to the highway if needed.Staff were wonderful and communication with the park is a breeze, highly recommend.

Booked the one of the 3 bedroom villas for one night. Customer service was excellent during the whole process. Staff were able to accommodate our specific needs & were flexible when required. Can highly recommend.

Decided to get away for the weekend with some friends and booked a villa here at the big4 caravan park in Castlemaine.. Absolutely loved our stay, very nice/clean facilities and rooms, super friendly staff and beautifully kept grounds. Within walking distance of plenty of cafes/restaurants and pubs also. Will definitely be making a return!

The facilities were clean and the water was hot but as a cyclist passing through, $50 for an unpowered campsite was ridiculous. The site I was assigned, 130, was not flat and I had to ask to move to 128 to find even ground. The highlight for me was its close proximity to the Botanical Gardens, and The Mill (which has a good brewery.o

Beautiful place to stay, the container home is deceivingly large when you get inside. The ambience is blissfully laid back and relaxing overlooking the park. You will forget you are staying at a caravan park. It's ideal for 2 and is pretty close drive to everything you need.

Very nicely appointed and maintained cabins and caravan park. Didn't see much of the owners, they seemed a bit flustered with how busy they were. It's a nice town with some things to see and do. Convenient coffee and meals not far from the caravan park. Nice communal kitchen and firepit.

We got a last minute reservation and the staff could not have been more helpful and willing to be flexible. Also impressed with the spotlessly clean toilets. I couldn't event see a cobweb. We were a quick walk to a great pub - the Bridge. Would definitely return.

Lovely camping group in an incredible spot. Loved the location near the Mill and the lovely gardens. Really clean and well presented cabin perfect for our stay. Friendly staff throughout our stay. Would highly recommend
