Great campground with well stocked toilet paper. It has a walking track closed by which is doable for children 3+. There are possum, lace monitor and brush turkey around so it's kind of fun to watch.

Paying $147 for two nights, I expected at least cleaned and accessible toliets, in contrast, providing ONLY 2 toilets for a whole camp with no ligths is not good enough, let alone the toilets were extremely smelly to the level that we had to drive our car take the ferry and cross the other side of the river to access public toilets.-No rubbish bins at the entrance of the camp, so I had to carry my rubbish and drive 2hrs home to dispose it.Would I come again, or recommend it to anyone I know ? defineitly no for the money I've spent.

Great campsite that's not too far away from Sydney. Can be pretty popular and a few litter bugs ruin the some of the sites but that more on the people. Nice long and short walk near by.

Great camp spot! Some of the fire pits are shared and some are not. Sites 25 and 26 are the best in my opinion because you’ve got a large area, your own fire pit and you can hear the river running at the back.A sink to wash our hands would make this a 4 stars and a shower would make it 5! BBQs very clean. Two walking tracks. No phone service. Worth the visit for sure! Happy Camping!See full review on my YouTube channel - Drive Surf Camp!

Great spot! Leveled camping spots and there are a lot of them. Toilets were clean, but no light in toilet.

Pick a flat, grassy site by the creek and set yourself up amid the rugged sandstone escarpments and dense eucalypt forests. This pretty, sheltered area is loved by birds and wildlife too – you might see wombats, wallaroos, goannas, lyrebirds and tiny sugar gliders and hear the distinctive chiming sound of bellbirds.Take a short walk to the picnic area where you'll find the start of a number of great bushwalks – experience rainforest and dry eucalypt forest, climb up onto the escarpment or ride along the Old Great North Road, part of the Convict Sites of Australia World Heritage Area.

Awesome campground. Visited to break out of covid lockdown, lots of hiking trails and wildlife. Lots of work put in to replant after the last fires. Close enough to Newcastle. Bring firewood and drinking water.

Had a good time at the camp very easy to find the car ferry was free , great place to relax by the camp fire and for stargazing .

Nice, secluded campsite besides Hawkesbury river. Campsite is full of monitor lizards so gotta be careful with the rubbish and food !

Great little campground, nice little hike/long hike close by and fire pits/bbq. Byo firewood. Rain tanks with water needing treated but also good to byo.
