TAFE NSW - Newcastle

I thought that my Tafe course started this week and went there 2 days in a row looking for my class, I ran into a teacher and asked her where was I meant to be, lol she told me that you are a week early lol so she showed me were the room is were I'll be going, so I can't wait till next week.

This may be a bias review. As i am an employee of TAFENSW. But newcastle TAFE has great areas out side for students to sit under the tree's and relax. Class rooms have state of the art equipment. There is also a huge library that is connected to Newcastle University so resources are always on hand even with online ebooks. Plus a well equipped canteen that jas a excellent coffee shop and a menu that would suit all dietary needs. Teaching and administrative staff are always on hand to help students need. Great access from the local bus companies and trains. There is also a great team of security guards who are always willing to help with almost everything from lost property to safety. If you want to get further training or just wish to study a new and exciting course this is the place to do it

Poor outcomes and focused on rorting government subsidies (the onsite employment agency!!!!!!). The Regional Music Institute" was killed by the unprofessional and argumentative head teacher and the sub-cohort of "teachers" doing the bare minimum and only offering extracurricular roles/training/experience to those students whose wider families have powerbroking ties in council or were the ex member for Newcastle.Please I beg to those reading - do consider not enrolling for your music related courses here. This is not a place for gifted people to get ahead unfortunately. Would give 0 stars if I could."

Went to the hairdresser and had a cut and colour. $47! Includes wash and blow dry. They do an excellent job.You will be there longer than a salon.

Going to do real estate love it but the tests are a bit convoluted

Tighes Hill Tafe Campus is a Technical & Trades College offering over 1200 courses.It's a very large campus with historic buildings, set amongst the most beautiful, well kept gardens, with plenty of shade & seating.It's also right on the no 11 & 13 bus route which run very frequently, so no problems commuting using public transport.

canteen lady was so rude for no reason

Last week, 10 May 2017 I took a client there to get a hair cut as part of our group work and I decided to get mine done with her. I usually prefer to go to a dentist than a hairdresser. BUT...a 2nd year apprentice did my hair, was not ashamed to ask as many questions as needed and was happy for directions from her teacher. I walked out of there as happy as I can get and with a lot of trust for this young girl.Everyone is so friendly and nonjudgmental and I will go again and again.

Ripped off twice at the canteen! $12.50 burger, Chips, drink combo changed $15; $4.50 chips and gravy yet charged $5.50. The menu board not updated?? Honestly, bring your lunch or eat off campus. Coffee is shocking too!

Great for vocational courses as can be seen from the hundreds of courses TAFE through their campus here. Decent size campus with plenty of parking. The staff right from the administration to the teachers are all fantastic. The one thing TAFE lacks is their online resources, though everything is in place it's really hard to enroll and get things done online generally.
