Their interior design, friendly staff, and overall vibe made me want to try this place although there are many options in this town. Even though we were just looking at the menus and browsing our breakfast options, the staff was welcoming and offered us to sit wherever we wanted. They also showed us the backyard seating area. The hot chocolate was absolutely amazing (the best hit choc I haven’t had for a long long time) and the coffee was brilliant. Even though I don’t drink coffee, I couldn’t resist and had two sips!The kimchi rice bowl I got was light, delicious and healthy. The big brekkie was also great and I particularly loved the cauliflower “hash brown”.

This place is so cute. The courtyard is so lovely. It's got a nice cosy backyard feel and the main dining area looks a bit like a lounge room cross stately hall. Loved the chandelier in the dining room too. They have a great selection of sweets and cakes, if you're looking for a pick-me-up. We came for breakfast and the menu was great. They had a few vegetarian options too. It's not cheap. The big breakfast was $24 and the mushroom toast was $18 and only came with one egg. I thought the mushroom could have used a bit more marinade or garlic or something but it was ok. Worth dropping in for a coffee just to sit in that back courtyard for a minute.

Had a delightful time at Goldbergs Coffee House with my husband! The chocolate cake and carrot cake were delicious and perfectly portioned. The friendly service and warm atmosphere made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Remember they are one of those rare brunch places decade ago when I was studying at UON. So happened that I’m coming for work nearby, decided to visit them again.Environment 5/5Still remain as what it was ten years ago. Cozy indoor seatings with a backyard open air seats if you want some sun.Cappuccino 4/5Wouldn’t say the best but I’m satisfied, especially the size for such price.Big brekky 4/5Not sure if is my memory faded, or I was too young that time, I remember their big brekky is giant size. Although it is big enough to feed me now, I remember I couldn’t finish by myself last time. Ordered scrambled as I think it goes well with their toast and bacon. Love their mushroomWill I come back again? 4/5Yeah of course I will, is more of a memory thing for me during my 2 years UON life as a student in Newcastle.

Called in for a coffee and desert and wasn’t disappointed. Coffee was to order and the sticky date pudding and carrot and walnut cake delicious. They were big servings too. Atmosphere was great with seating out on the footpath, inside or the quaint courtyard out the back. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Food was incredible!! The chicken bacon walnut pasta was flavorful and I really liked the different texture of the walnuts in the dish! We had the pork cutlet special which was hands down the tenderest pork cutlet I've ever had for such a thick cut!! We had the apple pie and chocolate cake for dessert which was great as well, both came with whip and ice cream! Had a takeaway coffee earlier in the day and it didn't disappoint either. Highly recommend visiting!!!

Fabulous place for lunch. Met up with friends for a long overdue catch-up. All our meals were delicious and every staff member super friendly. Can't wait to return

Busy cafe with a nice courtyard out the back. Great menu with the usual breakfast/ lunch options and also plenty of out of the ordinary dishes. Everything we ate was amazing, coffee was 8/10
