This is a lovely Japanese Sushi Train restaurant in the town of Mackay. There’s a good range of various sushi and rolls available on the train and from the menu which can be ordered. Some menu item can take a while to arrive even though you are sitting right next to the sushi making kitchen. Taste wise, what I’ve had were tasty in terms of the condiment around the rice but definitely not the authentic Japanese sushi rice flavour (P.S. most workers are Korean so I am assuming owner is Korean). Fresh salmon with the sushi didn’t have that ‘wow’ freshness factor but was still enjoyable. By the way, I am being a real food critic here as I am from a bigger town/state elsewhere where much more selections of restaurants and quality are available. In a smaller town like Mackay, I think this place is pretty good compared to the rest of the places I’ve been here. Staff were all very lovely and friendly. Overall a good dining experience and will most likely revisit before I leave this town again. I’d recommended this place at least once for experience if you are visiting Mackay.

The food was excellent, the service was slow, and they were more worried about the small plates on the carasell ... and getting a tad sick on the fact an urber eats order take preference...over dinners there or takeaways..

I love sushi and it's nice to order on a screen if you just want to go, if I stayed I like that you can pick your food off the moving tray.

Great chef, team, atmosphere...and high quality sushi/food! I have travelled often and been to Japan; their sushi rice, seafood and taste competes with the high-end restaurants in Japan. The head chef looks professionally trained and I hope the quality stays consistent! This franchise is always good (in Tsv and Cairns), and I hope the sushi train in Canelands will feel the pressure and up their game ;)Highly recommend the grilled scallop, and the Lion sushi.

As far as sushi outside of a capital city goes, this one is easily the best in Mackay. The aburi options are excellent. They have upped their prices recently, but it's worth it when the other sushi places in town are trash.

Some of the best sushi/ramen/noodles that you can get in Mackay. Would recommend to all my family up here and friends. Will be getting again

Incredibly tasty kakiage, lovely sashimi mixed platter. Not disappointed with anything. Lovely friendly service and very simple ordering iPad system that gives you your total onscreen all in a rather organised manner to get waitstaff to you quickly. Mouthwatering okonimyaki.

The scallop aburi sushis are really great! Rich flavour and similiar with we had in Tokyo Japan! The double aburis are fab as well! The Sashimi (in the picture) is nice. I prefer the salmon than tuna. Unagi sushi is so-so. Def will be back when visit to Mackay. Thank you!

Best sushi joint in Mackay by far. Fresh. Great service. Clean and tidy atmosphere. My go to place for sushi.
