Hills Robes & Screens

I would like to thank the team at Hills for all there help in installing 3 bedroom wardrobes in our home, the experience from start to finish was the best we have had. The team was quick, professional, and made sure everything was set up correctly. As a female i was also pleased that they cleaned and dusted everything up before leaving.

We haven't had our wardrobe installed yet but Adam was awesome when he came out for the measure and quote. He asked what I wanted to see in the space I had and we went from there. It was never about what he thought, all customer focused on what I wanted and more importantly needed in that space. Only had to wait a week for measure and quote which was great considering we live south and they're based north. I also appreciated that Adam arrived wearing a mask to protect against these Covid-19 times. Price is very competitive and the 45% off sale is a bonus. Hopefully installation is as easy as the rest of the process so far.

I took the day off work for installation, they were meant to arrive at 8.30. Come 9.30 nobody had arrived so I rang, they said someone would be there at 10.30 and someone at 1.30 as the original bloke was sick. Nobody came all day and nobody bothered to ring me back, I rang about 8 times myself to follow it up after hearing nothing for over an hour each time. I wasted my day off chasing them up and ended up with nothing. When they came finally a few days later one installer failed to use protective blankets on my floor resulting in 10+ dents and scratches in our new hardwood floors. The install quality was very average and items were forgotten, lots of touch ups had to be made. The third installer to come and finish touch ups and repairs ALSO DIDNT SHOW UP, again no phone call etc, I had to chase it up myself. When he did come a day later he borrowed my tape measure to fit a bracket, he still failed to centre the bracket despite using my tape measure, he placed it 22mm of centre and it is obvious to anyone who looks at it. Some items were still left incomplete but I decided against having these contractors do the work due to the difficulty getting them there, their lack of care and the average workmanship so I will complete their work myself when I get time.The reason for 2 stars in their favour is affordable products of medium quality.

Thanks to Greg and the team at Hills. Two robes installed today. Installer was on time, did a great job and cleaned up after himself!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVERWe went to hills robes & screens for custom made glass wardrobe doors, the price was good and they looked of a reasonable qaulity.We then ordered and paid for the custom made doors, giving full and 100% acurate measurements and informing them of the intended installation that we would be directly placing them on a timber frame, also making a confirmed date and time for delivery.On the day of the delivery they didn't even turn up , as the delivery time had been confirmed between 12pm & 1pm ,we then rang at 3pm to find out where they were and they had forgot about the delivery ,then they sent a young fella out with them at 415pm ,waste of a full day ,no communication on there part with the customer.The doors were installed the next day by ourselves, we then found the doors were to short for the frame(what a joke), after contacting them and discussing the problem, the final outcome was that we had performed the installation ourselves so it is not their problem.Because we had not requested the qoute and installation of the doors by Hills Robes & screens they are not responsible for this mistakeWe then were told that we were supposed to put a packer behind the rails, at no time by any staff were we told that this was needed.Why sell to the public if you cant inform them of these requirements even though i stated that it would be placed directly on a timber frame.The service from hills Robes & Screens would have to be the worst i have encounted in my 30 years of renovations I would highly recommend never using Hills Robes & screens.

Incredibly poor customer service informed me they are not able to place hinged wardrobes either side of my fireplaces, however photos are displayed on there website and Facebook page advertising this exact product. Sales rep never at any stage of the quoting process informed us that Hills were unable to meet this request.

Huge shout out to Greg and his team. From start to finish they were professional and efficient couldn’t be happier. The attention to detail can not be faulted, the pride they take in their work is evident in the end result. Highly recommended, if I could give more stars I would!!

Hills was the only business that we engaged during our renovation that we did not have one issue with.After the string of crazy renovation events the block would be envy of, one where we still have the tradie's tools as collateral, we were a bit perplexed it was this easy.Bit of a trifecta Hills not only beat the other wardrobe install we engaged 2 months earlier they were close to 1K cheaper than our nearest quote.My only possible suggestion for improvement is the ability to pay the final amount once the jobs been completed rather than the day before installation. You never hope to need it but that safety net's saved us twice now.

I've used Hills several times & have always been very happy with the great workmanship & quality & the excellent service from the ladies in the showroom who are always friendly & helpful.

Poor service from the start, I should have known better when the price changed 3 times and I had to chase up a quote and the reception staff were asking for a deposit before I had an invoice. The DIY kit was incomplete and not cut to size - a random assortment of laminate (looked like off cuts) When I called the owner to complain about having to cut everything to size and missing pieces, his reply was buy a hacksaw" I had to buy a circular saw
