I love Toolangi and this wasn’t altogether terrible but certainly not as remarkable as I was expecting.Blink and you could actually miss the tree itself but the walk is pleasurable enough and quite easy however def not wheel chair or pram friendly

The tree is beautiful but being in an area 100 mtrs square with the surrounding area been logged in the last 20 yrs it is sad so much natural history has gone for woodchip

Kalatha Giant Tree Walk
Easy walk with some steps at the start. We did it in wet weather with no issues. Beware - Easy to miss where to stop in the car - only a small carpark. We had the place to ourselves which added to the magical ambience. The ‘giant’ is a beautiful old Mountain Ash surrounded by younger specimens.

Kalatha Giant Tree Walk
A short (approx 30 min walk) is slightly undulating, it is a circular track walk. Good foot wear is recommended, and there are just a couple of steps at beginning of the track. Parking is next to start of the track. Not a difficult walk. There is No wheelchair or Pram access.The scenic drive to get to the walk location to see these majestic and amazing Ash Tree's enhances the experience.

Kalatha Giant Tree Walk
Great place to go. Suitable for kids aged 4 and up to walk it on their own. Not pram suitable. Lovely area that is quiet no one else but us. Walk is mostly flat 20mins in total. No toilets or facilities.

Easy 500m walk. If following a GPS to the tree be warned that some might try to take you via the Murrindindi Scenic Reserve. Don't go that way, just follow Sylvia Creek Rd to Kalatha Rd and you'll have no worries.

Kalatha Giant Tree Walk
A short but really beautiful walk. The 10-15 minute walk amongst the tall trees is great with lots of information boards on the way talking about local wildlife and the effect of climate change in the area. Car park nearby is quite small but it's also not very busy at all. A few stairs on the walk and that's pretty much it. Great for wildlife and taking photos.
