Banks Thargo Wines

We visited the cellar door, a great experience. Jon and Heather were so welcoming, and the wines were spectacular. I highly recommend this vinyard, it is special.

We visited Banks Thargo Winery on our way to the Great Ocean Road. The heart-warming welcome of Jon left us a deep and lasting impression. We shared an interesting conversation over delicious wines they make. We called only half an hour to our arrival to check if we could do some wine tasting and yet the owner found time for us. We tasted four different wines and liked them all, but 2013 Merlot was our favourite with its rich yet subtle taste. If you ever have to choose from a wide range of Coonawarra wineries to visit, we can personally vouch for this amazing place! :)

Visited Heather and Jon at their cellar door last weekend for a tasting. Down to earth people with a great product! The cellar door was light and cozy with beautiful gardens. Thank you for having us, we look forward to visiting again when we're back in Coonawarra!

Such a hidden gem! We feel very lucky to have visited over the Easter Weekend. Heather took us through a wonderful tasting with lots of great conversation and info along the way. A very memorable visit indeed!
