I must say, if you’re in town for an authentic western African cuisine, do visit Mama Rashida’s. You’ll be blown away with mouth watering beef curry tendered to perfection, paired with Jollof Rice. Cherry on top, all food’s Halal.

The hosts were very welcoming and warm, and the food very tasty and most generous. It is a great place for a meal. No room for dessert. Free bottled water was a bonus.

Acheke with fried fish was fantastic. It came with couscous and fried banana which was really tasty. Tomato and cucumber salad was good too and it came with boiled egg. Curry lamb and beef stew was superb as well. Both came with rice. Highly recommended this place.

Always wanted to try African cuisine and found this place after extensive research. Food was fantastic. We ordered fried fish with fried plantains and a fried rice with a chicken dish also meat balls. The chili sauce was extremely delicious we even got a complimentary container. Service was exceptional and I must say this place is so welcoming and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. Prices are so reasonable and the portion sizes were quite big and filling. Its a long drive from our home but we will definitely revisit! Thanks Mama Rashida.

Absolutely delicious and filling meal! The food was actually so good and freshly made. The chicken songo, their signature dish, had layers of unique flavours and the sauce for their fried barramundi was incredible - like a tomato chutney x sambal but not spicy! Can’t recommend this humble and underrated place enough.Mama rashida and her daughter are incredibly warm and welcoming too.

Great African food and friendly service. There was a bit of a wait but it's worth it, the food was fresh, unique and delicious with big servings, also the seating area was pleasantly clean and cool. My favourite dishes were the fried plantains on their own and the okra chicken stew which came with semolina fufu (like doughy rice). I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the area.
