Nice place for kids to play, fun area but be weary as you go home, its a high traffic area with trucks driving by, a few close call where kids have ran from the park to their parked cars... Some equipment needs a refreshing or regular maintenance... Sad only 1 such park in a CITY""

Great park with a range of play equipment for kids big and small. Excellent outdoor gym too. All well maintained and clean. Kids enjoyed playing here for an hour or so.

City park has a bit of everything. Play equipment for young children in a fenced-in area, another play ground for older children, a wheel-chair friendly swing (behind a lock though, so make sure you know how to get in before coming to use that), a splash pad that operates during summer, outdoor gym equipment. There and trees as well as some sails for shade, BBQs, undercover picnic area, toilets, lots of green space for games, a canal with seats to sit on to watch the ducks and other birds, a bubbler to refi water bottles, a path that loops the park, and over the canal is more green space, including a fenced dog park, and an outdoor stage area. Things to be aware of: swimming is not allowed in the canal, and the toilets are locked in the evenings (so don't rely on them if going for an evening stroll).

City park is one of the best amenities in town maintained and inaugrated by the griffith city council.Located at corner of kookora street, willandra ave, Murrumbidgee ave and coolah st; provides multiple access entances to the park. Griffith regioal high school is in front of the park entrance from Murrumbidgee ave while the griffith showgrounds is across the road from kookora st.Park has multiple public toilets on site, drinking water fountains, barbecue facility, bicycle stands and ample amount of parking space. Some of the other facilities that make it a perfect family place is its picnic areas, leashes dog areas, swings for kids, a jungle gym, sitting benches, walkways and shade areas. It is open 24, has lighting in few areas, CCTV cameras are installed at certain places to monitor safety and an open gym makes it a great place to visit located centrally in the city.

This park is always so clean and available for some great fun for the kids! (And parents?). Everytime I've taken my little girl here, we both have a blast climbing and exploring all over. I've never seen it overly crowded, plus the sprinklers next door are an absolute must in 45+ degree heat.
