The sinkhole is quite big with a swamp in the middle. There is a viewing platform but no access to the bottom not even a path around. It is a nice change of scenery on the Wombat Walk.

Cool sinkhole decorated by nature. Access via Wombat Walk, there's a small carpark and short trail to viewing platform.

Google Maps didn't actually take us to the right entrance, just a side road, but once we found out way it was a super short walk and a great view. Felt like it was in the middle of nowhere.

Bit hard to find, but worth the visit. Great to skip the crowds and see a sinkhole in its natural state, with plenty of wildlife around.

So quiet and peaceful and the most stunning Cenote to visit off the beaten track. Well worth the visit. Just follow the signs to Penambol Conservation Park.

Far better than I had anticipated. We came across this while tackling the Wombat Walk (off the Butterfly Track) and could not believe we had it all to ourselves. Similar to Umpherstone Sink Hole, only bigger and virtually un-touched with a nice little viewing platform which gives you that slight vertigo as you walk to the end and see how high up you are. Highly recommended! (excuse the pun).

A hidden gem amazing to find it surrounded by forest. Definitely a must see with plenty of history

Great spot only 25 minutes south of Mount Gambier. Well worth a drive. Only a short walk from the carpark and a great surprise to have the walkway out over the top of the Sinkhole. For more pics follow @kaymarkreations
