Dropped into his shop & it was great to see how the sharpening process is done. Very nice person to deal with & he managed to give me a number of tips in maintaining my clippers.

Took my knives in and my only issue was they were too sharp (cut myself first use lol). To be honest what a great business and very helpful. I have the same sharpener and could work out the best way to do it. Spent 30 mins with me teaching me how to use it as well as my steel as well. Thanks for the lesson and would highly recommend this business.

I have just had 2 x Wahl grooming heads and my Grandfather old barbers scissors refurbished. The three item were returned in as new condition. I could not believe how the scissors came out.I am extremely happy with the service and I am more than happy to recommend.

Impressed by Steve’s approach. Quality and prompt – definitely a return customer. In spirit of repairing appliances, we gathered up a collection of second-hand large & small kitchen knives, scissors & garden tools. Much much better than replacing by with new, sharper & affordable, too. Knives with broken tips were brilliantly reshaped so brought back into use. All edges conditioned and sharpened so all cooking etc has been made easy again.

I have a Damascus steel Tanto knife with three separate edges that required urgent sharpening prior to a trip into the Australian Goldfields last week. A knifemaker overseas had supplied it with an edge so blunt that I was literally unable to open a bag of M&Ms with it. I contacted Steve at Superior Edge to see if the knife could be sharpened, noting that Damascus steel can be problematic due to the texture of the folded layers of steel. Superior Edge had it sharpened perfectly overnight. Both sides of the knife were evenly sharpened on all three of the required surface edges. The price was extremely reasonable and I'd certainly be confident to ask them to re-sharpen any other blade in future if the need arises. They've done a magnificent job and the edge is perfectly honed on both sides of the blade - with particular attention paid to the symmetry and angle of the front edge.From food prep to building a shelter or fashioning tools or simply cutting branches to get your vehicle out of a sandy creek-bed, a knife without a suitable edge can become a liability in the event of an emergency - especially in some of the remote locations I visit.
