Mudgee Radio Cabs

Called the taxi after 12am, understandably they were very busy so we expected a wait. An hour went and in that time 2 taxis past, I tried to wave them down to no avail. I called again and politely asked the status of our taxi and I was told our booking had been completed. The gentleman on the phone was very rude when I asked if we could rebook. We rebooked and waited another hour until we just decided to walk. Our taxi called us at 2.45 am to ask if we still requiring a lift. I said no and explained why, the taxi driver was very polite and apologetic. I understand it was a busy weekend but the tone of the operator was disappointing and having to rebook after waiting out in the cold flagging down passing taxis was even more disappointing.

I called to order a cab. The lady who “assisted” me was quite impatient and abrupt on the phone when I couldn’t find the street number. Once I found it, she immediately said she ordered and it’s on the way and hung up. No further information. 20min in and no cab arrived. I called to ask again and a gentleman picked up who said that it’s on the way. He sounded a bit nicer. Another 25min later (in total 45min) I called back to ask for an update and a lady sounded irritated and told me it was coming then hung up.The cab driver herself was lovely and no hassles.They really could work on providing more info to customers so we are not left wondering. I understand there are limited cabs but if we knew the approx time we wouldn’t have to call 3 times.When Logan wines called to arrange a taxi, we waited 1 hour and 30min to no avail. One of the workers ended up driving us home.For future don’t bother catching a cab in Mudgee. Organise your transport in advance.

I booked an 8 seater 2 months in advance with Ken. I reconfirmed the day before. We were picked up on time but waited over half an hour when we were offered a lift from the owner of the restaurant we'd had lunch at. Our time was very flexible. If there were a lot of bookings around the same time a little planning could have solved the problem.

Was expecting a wait but took 4 rides and all were early. Busy Saturday too. I guess you generally review if things go wrong but we had no issues.

Don't bother pre ordering a cab as it doesn't matter. We had a wedding to go to so thought by pre ordering and giving a pick up time that the cab would arrive around that time.........no. Two follow up calls.When it did finally arrive the lady did not say a word to us. Cab was dirty too.

Third World Customer Service at Mudgee Cabs from top (Owner and his Administrator wife) to bottom driver (despatched with declared knowledge but had none).No idea from top down of how to process their own industry Cabcharge Digital Payment Pass for $100.Blamed passenger/ client for lack of specific application smart phone knowledge despite pre- requisite booking requirement and confirmation that driver/ admin would have the knowledge to process their own payment and promotional offerings.Wanted to leave me (passenger/ client) beside the road with seven bags, 30 klms from home despite their own industry ignorance, rudeness and incompetence.When advised Owner that his Administrator (wife) was beyond abrasive, dismissive, blame transferring and, from multiple interactions (on loud speaker on drivers phone) it appeared that his wife would most likely be unable to spell “customer service” let alone apply any such principles, he called the passenger/ client a goose and declared said passenger/ client now barred for life.What a relief.Grant MGulgong

On time and the cab was well taken care of.

I was advised taxis wouldn't be a problem in Mudgee. Maybe that's the case during long weekends or peak periods, but I called on the spot for a Saturday taxi wanting to get to a destination at 6:30pm and it was just before 6pm when I booked the cab. The guy who took my booking said it 'wouldn't be long' until the taxi arrived. It was 6:25pm and still no taxi. Rang the company again and the lady who picked up this time informed me that it was an hour wait. Why didn't the first guy tell me this? I had to drive to dinner and be VERY careful with my alcohol intake, considering I had prepaid for a wine package for dinner.

I was thoroughly disgusted with Silver Top Cabs service on the evening of Thursday 2nd December 2021. My first phone call requesting a cab was made at 10.32pm. I was told that there was a queue and I would need to wait but that it shouldn't take too long.At 11.44 pm I made another call where I was told that I was moving up in the queue and it should be there soon. At 11.57pm I made another call where I explained that I was a 69 yr old woman who had been waiting 2 and a half hours for a cab and that I really needed a cab to take me to my accommodation. The man answering the phone said What do you want me to do about it?" And then hung up. All I needed was 10 minute trip from Lawson St Mudgee.As a first time visitor to Mudgee i was very upset by this level of unprofessional behavior.I did not get a taxi at all that night and had to resort to couch surfing with friends. What would have happened had I not known anyone in town?Your company has a duty of care to its passengers and not only did you not fulfill this duty
