Omaroo High Country Retreat
What a wonderful getaway to the country. Jon and Keren's cottage is beautifully presented, and so peaceful. It's a handy base to explore the region, and the scenery is just magical. Can't wait to go back in Summer to enjoy the pool!

Omaroo High Country Retreat
First of all l did not stay here, my sister and her family did, we just visited her there for a family BBQ lunch, so l will just mention my experience on that day. It is situated just outside of Bonnie Doon, not walking distance to the lake or the town but only a few minutes drive to both. The accomodation was clean and modern, situated on a hill, so there is a nice view, we were allowed to take our dogs (3 small-medium) the owners were nice and friendly and are situated right next door, l mean closer than your neighbours at home. The pool is actually on their deck attached to their house, pool was saltwater, clean and refreshing.

Omaroo High Country Retreat
Lovely luxury cottage. Had a relaxing weekend exploring local towns and markets. Fabulous hosts, very welcoming- provided information about local spots and gave us some organic veggies and fruit. Most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for ages! Pool is refreshing and fantastic views whilst swimming.

Omaroo High Country Retreat
A very clean and spacious dog-friendly cottage with lots of added extras … the bed and linen are divine, lots of outdoor seating on the deep verandah, lovely decor, well-kitted kitchen (I was even able to bake a cake!), great pool, a dam for the dog, clean BBQ. Excellent attention to detail here. It’s a great place from which to explore the local area. The cottage is relatively close to the main house, but the hosts pretty much leave you to your own devices so this is unlikely to be a problem unless you’re after complete solitude. Internet connectivity is patchy. If you have time sensitive work to get done this may be a problem, but if you’re looking to get away from things it won’t be an issue. Lots of bird life in the trees around the cottage and pool. The hosts are relaxed and hospitable.

Jon and Keren are awesome hosts with great knowledge of the area.The cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and is a perfect getaway.Without a doubt one of my favourite weekend getaways.
