C&K Birralee Childcare Centre

We love Birralee! The carers are warm and nurturing at the atmosphere is clean, welcoming and home-like. The carers take the time to connect and bond with the children and every day they come up with interesting activities to suit the children's interests and strengths. Dianne and Jody quickly address any problems as they arise and always keep the centre running smoothly. When I drop my children off, I know that they will have a fun and engaging day. I could not recommend Birralee highly enough!

You will not find a better centre than this. All the staff are experienced, caring and create the most amazing learning experiences for the children in their care. The director ensures that the centre is run to an excellent quality standard. The communication between home and the centre is excellent and all staff are approachable to discuss your child at any time. My boys have loved (and continue to enjoy) attending this centre.

Incredible. You will not find a better child care centre, with staff who care more than Birralee. We have experienced several day care centres as I move around for work. Without a doubt the staff at Birralee are outstanding and make this centre shine far brighter than any other. Our boys LOVE going to daycare, they have access to amazing outdoor areas and are engaged with an excellent educational program. The food provided for them is nutritious and varied. I spent the time visiting 6 other centres and although this one was a slight drive from our house, i would highly recommend it to anyone - the staff are amazing!

We had looked at a few childcare centres before finding Birralee-two of those centres never even called us back. Dianne answered the phone from Birralee (no need to leave messages!) and half an hour later we were being shown through the centre. We instantly knew that this was the place for our babies-warm, engaging and inviting with the kindest staff. Both our boys have attended Birralee for years now and they absolutely love it. We have nothing but praise for this terrific centre and the amazing staff who run it. They go above and beyond to care for our boys - highly recommended.

Our two girls both attended Birralee over the last 7 years. It is the most wonderful place! The staff are absolutely amazing and caring. They have a very low staff turnover which is great - the children can form strong bonds with their carers. My youngest is now about to start Prep so sadly we had to say goodbye to Birralee today - but we know that if we want to pop back in for a visit, we would be welcomed anytime. The educators at Birralee Childcare Centre are nothing short of superstars. We first enrolled our daughter 9 years ago at the age of 6 months – fast forward those 9 years and now our son is finishing up Kindy ready for Prep next year. They were all so understanding and supportive when we first joined, taking extra time every day to make sure our daughter and then our son felt comfortable. They have now become part of our family. The kids are well cared for and most importantly you know that the carers genuinely care about the kids when you observe their interactions with them. The amount of time and effort they put into every day is amazing. They also do super cute and thoughtful activities and little gifts on special occasions (Mother’s Day/Father’s Day/Christmas etc.), you can really tell the team care and are so thoughtful. Now the food is also equally amazing, walking in to drop off the kids you can smell the food cooking, which of course made me jealous as it smelt amazing. I can’t recommend Birralee Childcare Centre high enough. It’s going to be sad not going there every day but I know we can pop in at any time to say hello and be welcomed with open arms.

We love Birralee and so does our son! The centre is very well run- and you can tell by the very low staff turnover. It feels wonderfully personal- the Director and staff know everyone by name- and is a great home-like environment.All of the wonderful educators truly care and have developed great relationships with our son. There always seem to be so many interesting activities on offer. Loads of time is spent outside in the fresh air each day, which is important to us.Birralee was recommended to us by friends and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

We have been a very happy part of the Birralee family since 2005. Dianne, Jodie and the team didn't just look after our two children, they nurtured them. Our children felt safe and loved there, and were put in good stead to start school. We were kept informed about our children's development via daily and weekly communications and copious observation notes (I will keep the scrapbooks forever and drag them out at the kids' 21sts). The food was excellent, and the centre always clean. I felt we could bring up any issues that we thought needed attention, and were kept informed about any actions taken. The staff turnover there is so low that there was, at one stage, three generations of the same family working there. It was a very sad day to say goodbye!!!!! (Our daughter went there for four years and her brother, born seven years after his sister, went there for five years and finished up in 2017.)

Our little man turned four this month. Over the last four years our little ones have blossomed under the care and love provided by the carers and staff whilst we are at work. When we were expecting our first child we visited the local centres and Birralee gave us that instant gut feeling that this was the place to help us raise independent, fit and smart kids. It is a homely, warm and safe learning environment. From the down-to-earth and genuineness (is that a word?) of their staff we knew this was the place for us. It didn’t hurt that the kids there were having a great time too. The afternoon email with loads of photos are such a good read on the commute home from work.If you are looking for a sterile centre that mollycoddles your children this is not the place for you. If you want a practical, nurturing centre that will develop your little ones’ thirst for knowledge and teach them to be kind members of society, then this is the one for you.

My child has absolutely thrived here. Even with the current staffing issues in the sector. Birralee handles this very well and has a steady supply of quality educators to plug gaps due to sickness.It is on the small side and the not-for-profit aspect really shows - it's intimate and much less busy than other centres I've seen. Educators are respectful, caring, inclusive and dedicated to the wellbeing of the children.Forget novelties like bush kindy or learning Mandarin - the kids spend much of their time outside engaged in valuable play-based learning...imaginative play, role play, climbing trees, jumping off boulders. It is the best kind of learning!
