My husband and I are so grateful for Bec's help planning our wedding with 112 people at Little Cove with reception at the Sugar Wharf in Port Douglas. We hired Bec to be our wedding planner very early in our planning process and it was the best decision of the whole wedding. We came to her with a date and a venue idea, and she hit the ground running to help us organise literally everything else. She listened to our vision, kept meticulous notes, suggested vendors that she knows personally and has worked with before, and gave advice if we had other people we wanted to work with. She filled forms and booked our venue with the council, helped organise trials for hair/makeup/food tasting, and independently liaised with other vendors for the practicalities of furniture, lighting, catering and others. She met with us several times in person and was easy to contact by email, text or phone if we needed. Port Douglas is small and she personally knew and was friends with so many of our vendors, and she was able to organise discounts for some of our hire. She gave expert advice about how much alcohol we would need, how big our tables should be to fit the venue, and literally any other practical question we had we could run by her and she would help us to answer it. She created a budget tracker and a runsheet and also kept in touch with our vendors the week before the big day to make sure everyone was on the same page. On the day she was our coordinator and worked the full day, putting out our decorations and making sure everything was there looking beautiful, taking our cake to the venue to the coldroom, and running around making sure everything ran smoothly before, during and after the ceremony and reception. She helped my brother be an amazing MC by prompting him when to speak and what to say so he wasn't nervous. When we ran out of moscato half way through the reception, she went to the bottle-o and bought more. She even found my phone (that had my speech on it!) when the bridesmaids had no idea where it was, mid-speeches! She also looked after our décor, presents and guestbook afterwards and made sure there were no loose ends after everything was done.Honestly there's probably so much more that she did that I don't even know about because she just fielded the little problems without me even knowing unless I absolutely needed to! Our day was so freakishly smooth and uneventful that I am still in awe that nothing went wrong, despite everyone telling me something" would

When it came to planning our wedding… we didn’t know where to start. Contacting and hiring Bec was the best thing we did. She was extremely supportive, offered the best advice and was always available to answer any questions we had, both before and on the day of the wedding.Of course, like any bride I became a little stressed the days leading up to the wedding and Bec really helped ease that stress by answering our millions of questions and helping with last minute organising.We could not have asked for a kinder, friendlier, more genuine person to help us plan our wedding. Bec was there throughout the whole planning process and didn’t stop there. She was invaluable on the day, everything ran so well we didn’t have to worry about anything. Bec is truly an industry star.We met with a few wedding planners in Port Douglas and Bec was a clear standout. She stood out to us for her beautiful, bubbly personality and her clear drive and passion for her job and creating memorable weddings for her clients.Being two designers, we had a strong image of how our wedding would look and run. I am sure at times we were testing clients for Bec but not once did she complain or make us feel like we were being difficult. Her knowledge for the industry and Port Douglas is second to none. She was always so prompt in replying to emails and messages and very knowledgeable on all things weddings.On the special day, Bec made the whole event seem seamless. Her eye for detail and ensuring that every guest was looked after is testament to her professionalism. Juggling the grooms, guests and staff was no easy feat but she pulled it off with a beautiful big smile.We could not recommend Bec and Dragonfly Weddings and Events any more highly. Where do I even begin! Bec was amazing and is incredible at her job. My partner and I are from Victoria, we met Bec through emails, texts and phone calls and instantly we knew she was right for us. The whole wedding ran so smoothly, she recommended us amazing vendors which made the day perfect. She was so nice and friendly! would highly recommend :)

As a marriage celebrant I get the opportunity to work with lots of wedding suppliers and Bec from Dragonfly Weddings is one of the best wedding co-ordinators in Port Douglas. We live in Victoria, so to organize a location wedding for our daughter Georgia, we decided it best to engage Bec’s services.Bec was worth her weight in gold.She was extremely well organized and communicated thoroughly with ourselves and all others contracted for wedding related services.Bec was also forthcoming with so many recommendations from food catering, music, photographer, florist and decorating. All of her recommendations were excellent.On the day of the wedding Bec was present and controlled so many little aspects that we would never have thought of.I would highly recommend Bec to everyone thinking of a tropical North Queensland wedding!Thanks for your help Bec! xx

Hiring Bec to be be our wedding planner was the first and best decision that we made! Bec is an absolute dream to work with - the height of professionalism, calm, passionate about her work, and is always looking out for your needs. Our incredible day would definitely not have been possible without her.My now husband and I run a technology startup and have limited time, but we wanted a fun, creative and meaningful wedding, especially with friends traveling from around the world to join us. Bec is amazingly organised, paid great attention to detail and kept the perfect planning cadence, with weekly or monthly Skype calls leading up to the event, and then she really kicked into turbo charge during the week-of. I naturally am super Type A about many things, but had tremendous confidence in Bec pulling it all together for the big day, which was a huge weight off my shoulders. With the wedding now over, I really miss our Skype calls and the positive and genuine can-do energy that Bec brought to my week.Bec has outstanding relationships with local vendors, and has in-depth knowledge of their products and services, which means that she was able to help us navigate choices that were the best fit for our needs and that are extremely happy with. Bec does not receive kick-backs, but is representing your interests (and budget) 100% of the time. In fact, she was able to identify ways to keep our budget manageable that I would never have thought of!My husband and I cannot emphasize enough how much we appreciate all the work of Bec leading up to and on the weekend of our wedding. She went out of her way to help set up table decor, greet guests, organise the bridal party for their dance entrance (we arrived separately, by boat) and covertly handed our sweat bands before our secret flash mob. She did all of the communication with the vendors behind the scenes so Stuart and I could enjoy getting ready with our bridal party, and even helped to organise an emergency canopy for the Sugar Wharf when a large storm cell hit Port Douglas the night prior. Bec also frequently went above and beyond the call of duty. For example, she was absolutely happy to help out with venue selection and planning for our welcome drinks. Many of our family and guests asked how we found Bec, and commented that she is not your average wedding planner and clearly passionate about and exceptional at her work. We could not agree more. My husband and I had the greatest time on our wedding day with our family and friends, and I know without a doubt that we could not have done so without Bec.I can not recommend Bec to you strongly enough!

WOW!!!Bec may have the role of a wedding & events co-ordinator however I feel she is more like your guardian angel!From the first moment my husband Mark & I spoke to Bec on the phone we thought... She knows exactly what she is doing.Having a destination wedding sure does throw a spanner in the works however having Bec on our team ensured everything ran smooth & was executed to the highest degree possible.We couldn't have imagined a wedding so perfect, so thank you to Bec for creating the most magical wedding. All of our guests keep commenting on how incredible it was.
