We lucked in with a glorious spring day for our one day tasting tour around Hahndorf with Jack. The tour was interesting and informative (even for a pair of Adelaide locals) and made a great birthday gift. Quality of bikes was very good and gave us the opportunity to really try bikes. Straightforward riding (because we are experienced riders Jack took us on an off road trail with spectacular views). We were so full after our morning cheese platter we didn’t need a picnic lunch so chose take away food and wine. Plenty of tasting at the 3 wineries but not until towards the end so you don’t ride much after drinking.Highly recommended!

Fabulous biking tour through Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley. Could not have asked for better experience or better tour company. Bikes were fantastic, accommodation perfect and sight seeing and dining experiences were just what we liked.

What a fabulous ride! Weather didn’t start out so well but still fabulous views as we easily pedalled around the back roads of Hahndorf. Jack was a fabulous communicator and guide and helped us with our first experience on electric bikes. The sun came out eventually which made the ride even more enjoyable! We highly recommend a bike tour with Jack.

I have hired Bike About" electric bikes twice from Hahndorf South Australia. I was so impressed with the electric bike themselves. They are thrilling and exciting to use and travel quite a vast distance. The country side around Hahndorf was beautiful. On a note of improvement some of the staff at the "Hahndorf Academy" could do with some training on hiring out the bikes themselves. Also when I took Mum on the "Hahndorf Winery Loop" she stacked it on a section of road that has a thick layer of gravel on it for about 1 km. "The Haus Group" Mannas website say the ability is for beginner. I wouldn't agree with that until they the council change that section of gravel (I think Fairview Rd) road. I would recommend getting off at that section and perhaps walk it."

Fantastic to see the picturesque side of Hahndorf riding on an ebike. Jack was fantastic showing us how the bikes work, provided a map and local knowledge of what to see and do. Highly recommend this experience.

Fantastic experience with Bike About as they led us (two couples in our mid 50's with not too much biking experience) on an e- bike experience through Monarto Safari Park. An early start to the day meant we had the whole park to ourselves to view the magnificent animals in the park. We had morning tea with the giraffes - amazing. The bikes were fantastic and easy to use and the crew from Bike About were terrific. Included in our tour was the awe inspiring close encounter with the lions in the 360 dome. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Jack is a terrific guide, it was loads of fun, for both of us, one an experienced cyclist and one definitely a non cyclist. The ebikes were awesome and Jack even spotted for us a wild koala

(This is an in depth review!)I booked the Hahndorf Bike & Wine tour for myself (late 20s) my mum and her friend (mid to late 50s) in mid April and it was an absolutely highlight of our trip to Adelaide! I recommend this A+ experience and would certainly return and try another tour next time we’re in Adelaide.Bikes: I have a cycling background so I opted to ride my own gravel bike, while my mum and her friend used the supplied E-bikes. The e-Bikes themselves were good quality mid-range hybrid bikes and in good repair. I secretly wished I’d opted for an e-bike too!Guide: Our tour guide was Dan and he was fantastic - very friendly and patient. He explained to each person how to use their bike. Perfect balance of friendly and social, knowledgeable about the local area whilst giving us space to enjoy and chat amongst ourselves.Route: a local loop about 20kms with 350m elevation gain, mix of gravel, off road and sealed roads. A few steep pinches, but all easily manageable on e bikes with medium fitness. Probably the least enjoyable part of the ride was through the Hahndorf township just due to traffic but Dan ensured the group was managed and safe.Experiences: we stopped at Beerenberg strawberry farm, Udder Delights, Shaw & Smith for a wine flight and finished at The Lane. Each place was a delight. All great experiences with hospitable staff. It was a lot to fit in, but I still felt we spent a generous amount of time and each place and didn’t feel rushed.For me, the strawberry picking was a highlight (and we enjoyed fresh strawberries for days after!); when we arrived it wasn’t too busy (despite being school holidays) which meant we get to enjoy picking with just our group plus a few others - it was much busier later in the day when we went to pick up our strawberries!I also particularly loved the Shaw & Smith wines. It’s a beautiful venue with stunning views. Fortunately there was enough room in the bike pannier bags to fit plenty of wine bottles!In summary: I would absolutely recommend this tour & BikeAbout to anyone of any age who is interested in exploring what Adelaide hills has to offer. It was a perfect way to get out and about and discover some places we wouldn’t have looked into otherwise. We did a lovely ride through the country around Hahndorf on quiet roads. Fantastically easy to go up hills. Had never ridden an e-bike before but soon got the hang of it with Jack's help. Great wine and cheese at several wineries. Overall an excellent experience.
