Love the history at this place I remember the dig when it was unearthed.They did a great job bringing the Cannon's to their former glory .

A lovely historical place to visit in defence against Russian attack 2 muzzle loading cannons and a (bowchaser) deckgun fixed to a mount whilst the 2of the larger cannons are on a circular rail with to which the cannons fixed wheels run 360°

Great views of the harbour and the light houses. Interesting fortifications. A very elegant space, beautifully designed. Areas for sitting and reflecting.

It was once buried but restored. Part of our Wollongong seafront story that is worth maintaining. We had a guided tour from the Flagstaff Hill lighthouse past the Harbour, Belmore Basin and Old Courthouse, to Battery Park. Greg was our informative guide

The picturesque beach is A few minutes walk from the Novotel Hotel.It has free parking alongside the beach front.Great views front the north to the lighthouses and marina on the South.A nice place for photos and a morning walk to the abundant cafes.There is also a few old cabins on display at the Battery Park Fort.Definitely recommend a visit to this park/beach.
