I wasn't even aware Melbourne had a Dragon Boat team until my cousin's husband told me he was the assistant coach of CYSM Sea Dragons and asked if I wanted to trial for 3 free sessions. As soon as I arrived at the club, the energetic friendly vibe was immediately infectious. 3 Seasons in and I'm still loving this Club! The people and the support and care for each other is what still keeps me paddling :)

When I first arrived, I didn't know Melbourne had a dragon boating club. But thjs team pleasantly surprised me with the great supportive atmosphere and drive to succeed in their endeavours. Would highly recommend to try out.

Friendly, fun and competitive dragon boat club!If you are looking for an instant group of friends, a great way to be fit and active and something that will open new doors for you, then come and try paddling with us!You don’t need to be super fit, just willing to have a go – we’ll show you everything you need to know and provide you with a paddle and a life jacket. Abilities in our crew range from brand new, to international level. We have members that enjoy paddling at club level, and also those that have represented Victoria and even Australia!YR-D!

After the come and try session on nice saturday morning, I know this is it. My favourite sport. I love the friendliness and professionalism of this team sport. Everyone were so welcoming and genuine. Highly recommended for anyone who want to try out. Best water sport!
