We had a rendered brick pier supporting the verandah of our 1920s Californian bungalow that needed to be righted and two low brick walls that needed to be reconstructed. It was a tricky job. Andy did a thorough, tidy and professional rebuild. He is reliable, punctual and pleasant to deal with. It all looks great.

As part of a larger project, I recently had a door converted back to a window, which then required the reinstatement of the sill bricks as well as a few rows of bricks underneath that. I knew it would be a tricky job which would need the services of a highly skilled tradesman. I found Andy (A. Milne Building & Construction) on the internet a few weeks ago. After having read the great reviews about Andy's work I decided to see if he was available for my small but potentially awkward job (due to where the window finished in relation to the brickwork). After I explained my situation to Andy, he was willing to fit me in to his busy schedule. He spent quite a lot of time helping me on the phone before the day came for him to do the job - which was today! In sourcing the bricks for my job I found it was very difficult to come up with something that would blend in and nigh on impossible to get an exact match. I sent photos to Andy to get his opinion before I made the final decision and he was more than willing to spend time on this. Andy came today to do the job and I have to say that he has done an outstanding job which exceeded my expectations - I am thrilled with the result! Due to the 'problem' with where the window finished, Andy had to cut the bricks underneath the sill so they would line up perfectly with the other bricks. He has done this to perfection! I am going to engage Andy for another brickwork project I have in mind as well as employ him for a landscaping project. I found Andy to be friendly and willing to listen and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs a skilled tradesman that can do just about anything in brickwork, landscaping and construction!

Andy undertook to build a new fence for us after the previous one was severely damaged due to overgrowing tree roots. During this whole process we found Andy to be very reliable, hard working and very co-operative in meeting our objectives. His attention to detail, his clear and precise communication and advice both contributed to the successful completion of the project within the allocated timeframe and budget. We are very happy with his work and the finishing result and would have no hesitation in re-engaging him in any future project.

We are very pleased with the work Andy performed at our house. The stonework was in need of repair around our garden beds and Andy was able to make all the stonework look amazing. Where there were missing pieces Andy replaced them and fixed all the mortar. We are very impressed and would recommend A Milne Building and Construction without hesitation.
