Charcoal Fish Rose Bay
Love the concept of a sustainable restaurant utilising almost all of the fish. Tuna burger was amazing, taste just like a normal cheeseburger and would definitely recommend. Also would recommend the fish and chips, fish was nice and crunchy and not overly battered, and the chips were amazing. 8.5/10. Charcoal mackerel had plenty of flavour and also amazing!!

Oh wow! Just wow. THE BEST Fish and Chips you will EVER have - bar none. What Mr Niland has done will change your mind about what fish should taste like. Those wings, the tuna burger and the AMAZING fish and chips are simply incredible. Even the tamarind hot sauce, is mind blowing. You can actually taste the freshness in the fish fillets. Thank you (but not really cause now I can go NOWHERE else for my fish!!) for giving Sydney an incredible fish eating experience.

Very different, in a good way of course! Fresh and delicious fish burgers. Staff were very nice and friendly, I would go there next time I travel to Sydney for sure!

Great spot to stop by after a walk along the coast. The tuna burger was great (although a little expensive). Also tried some of the vegetable sides they had in offer and was impressed. Also to note seating is relatively limited.

Was told great things about this place.When finally getting my chance to try while I’m the area, I was thinking $28 for fish and chips would be reasonable for quality stuff.But unfortunately I felt like our fish and chips was over fried, I can taste where they are going but the fish tasted oily as though it was over battered/fried as it was very dark instead of the golden and the chips was toward the chewy side.I’ll defiantly give this place another go to see how it should be as the queues doesn’t lie.

Charcoal Fish Rose Bay
Expect a huge line , and there’s not always a place to sit however it is amazing to see what they do with fish here . We got a mackerel on the grill and a double cheeseburger and shared it. I actually really liked the char of the fish and found it really enjoyable. It was so soft and juicy inside but nicely salted and crunchy outside. The burger was also really good, the pickles added some nice acidity. I’d love to come back to try other things but definitely a place worth a try !

Hectic. Charcoal Fish is a joy. We all know charcoal chicken is significantly better than chargrilled chicken - Turns out fish is no different. We asked what the best items were (tuna burger with bacon, fish and chips and cod). We had them all, and they were all immaculate. Would highly recommend. Everything was great.

If you don’t order a tuna burger with the Murray cod bacon you’re missing out. It is the star dish of the place and will remain the best fish burger I’ve ever had. 100/10

Charcoal Fish Rose Bay
Best fish and chip, and scalloped potato in my life and a good house branded beer too. I am from Melbounre and really wanted to try ice cream but it was not available and Tote bag was sold out too. A little shame but it is well worth to come and try out. The service was restaurant quality in fish and chip shop, which is unreal too. Successful business has serious reasons!!
