Elcar Park Dog Exercise Area

Great split big / small dog exercise area. Easy close parking, water and waste bags on site and free.A little bit smaller then some other parks but a nice atmosphere.

Great place to bring your best friend being that it’s close by and we’ll maintained. It’s a space for off lead playing and lots of socialising with water fountain, a sandpit and shady trees. The down side is there needs to be some lights for in the evening. Coming into winter there’s no chance of seeing your dog after 5:30pm. Something to beware of also is that in the large dog area there is often “incidences”Some dogs just don’t belong in a social situation like this but owners continue to bring them. For the most part this is a great place. My dog loves it!

This place is awesome for the pups. It’s a safe environment for ur dog to be a dog and mingle with other pup pups. It’s fully fenced with two exercise areas for Big dogs and Small dogs. 4 Double gate entry. POO BAGS at the gate. I cannot stress this enough. PLEASE PICK UP AFTER UR DOG. IT’S NOT NICE WHEN UR PUP HAS SOME OTHER DOGS DOOKIE ON THEIR PAW OR THE HUMAN STEPPING IN IT TOO. SO PLEASE DO UR PART. There’s an In ground water fountain and a water bowl for ur pups. Love taking my dogs here and they love it too.

Great fenced dog park, separate areas for small and large breeds.

Roc loves to play here. The park is spacious, shady and always clean when we go there. What creates a downside for me and Rocco is when some dogs steal his toys and run away with them while the owners ignore what their dogs are up to and busy playing with their phones or talking to other people. If you know your dog likes to play ball, then take a ball and play with them. Simple. Also, If your dog poos, do the right thing and pick it up. Put your phone away and keep your eyes on your dog!

Regarding the small dog side, it's starting to look a bit run down in areas, from dogs being allowed to dig. Yes dogs dig, but there is a pit they can dig in. Again comes down to responsible owners and respecting the area provided for the safety of all running around.

Good enough to walk dogs, small dog and large dog separated by fence so no dramas there. Places to sit, and I didn't see any dog poo around so both users and shire look after it well.

This is a great place and whoever came up with this idea, well done and thankyou. Nearly everybody cleans up after their dog apart from those that are to good for that. The shire of Joondalup does an exceptionally good job at maintaining the area and supplying poo bags. The dogs that go there are generally pretty well behaved but the only thing I would be negative about is the congregation of people that find it necessary to stand in the middle of the park when you are trying to play ball with your dog, it's a dog park people, not a gossip park, if you want to have a chat move to the side and do it or better still spend a some quality time with your dog because that is what you are there for.
