Top Town Motel

After a long day of driving and just wanting basic accommodation...I happened across this beautiful little motel. Warm and welcoming, pristine, thoughtful considerations in the room for weary travelers, a huge shower room! Just delightful.

I turned up looking for a bed for myself and husband and two girls. When I walked into the office a lovely lady said that she didn’t know how to do the booking, she went to get someone else. I have no idea who or what sex the next person was that came into the office, but she/he had a beard/facial hair, a really bad wig and dirty hands.She/he told me that they no longer allow pets, (we don’t have a pet) so this information I didn’t need. The price was stupid. I told her/him that I will run out to the car (was parked on the road) to talk to my husband. I freaked out walked fast to my car, jumped in and drove to the nearby town. All the while saying to my family “we are not going to stay there “ . What caused my reaction! Dirty hands, dirty clothes that were a mixture of male and female clothes, and the smell in the office.I am not saying that she/he wasn’t friendly, because she/he was, it was the other factors.I wouldn’t recommend this motel at all.

Alphabet-friendly and woman-owned are shown on the listing.There is more emphasis on these signals than presenting a property that is clean and guest acceptable.I will give you three stars for having a go, but the virtue signalling is a put off. Your business would do better if you didn't resort to these trends. Guests don't always want hear it.

VERY large, clean rooms. Comfortable location. Affordable price. Definitely pet friendly for your beloved pets!On a side note, my older cat snuck out late at night due to my mistake leaving the door open. The good staff went to every extent to find him. My cat came home safe and sound. My wife and I will definitely be booking again. SIX (6) stars!!!

Room was clean owner was nice to deal with

Price was extreme, at $145.00 a night. as the room was disgustingly dirty. I have never walked into such a dirty place. Dishes, cups were filthy, cob webs, stains and dirt. Also they offer seniors discount but when asked I was told did not apply to this room. We were told we were upgraded to the villa well if this was an up grade I would dread what a normal room is like. My advice is to keep driving. Don't stop.

The owners are what hold this motel back! When you chase customers for water useage then you know you have issues. The rooms smelt so bad so I was coughing all night very stale and not at all pleasant. This motel needs a complete overhaul starting with owners then onto rooms and the entire style of the motel. It's clear the business suffers dearly. Sorry but I'm not going to lie!

Clearly this owner is an animal lover - a big plus for this owner! Parking restricted & owner more interested in arguing about my possibility of not choosing a correct vehicle gear & running into the motel. Owner was so nice prior to me paying my account! Business is for sale & they give the impression that they had enough of being there.
