Vinnies

This is a 5 star stellar charity shop. However Jodie the area manager caused me to give a single star and would have given less if possible. This is because of a wastage issue. I was shopping and spotted a walker in the tip bin and on closer inspection and informed by a employee it was slightly damaged but overall perfect condition, but unsellable. I asked if I could have it as I could use it for parts, which was OK and made my way with my happy find and other items to the checkout. The lovely lady at the register had to check and make sure I was telling the truth about the walker....so she returns and tells me no, no you can't have the walker as it's damaged and cannot be taken. Surprised and annoyed at this I wanted to speak with the person who stated such Intel to her to give to me! That's when Jodie appeared, Rather then let someone put the walker to use she thought it would be better off in the tip, and it was nothing to do with safety reasons it was due to not paying $25 for this walker even though it was destined for the tip. For apparently there policy stipulates that an individual can't have an item of the shop without paying for it, and I asked where will I find this statement, she replies it's an internal statement". It is these people on earth that help us to spiritually develop as what they do is there karma and how we react is our karma. So in the catholic manner peace be with you."

Staff helpful, stock ok. Picked up 2 nice crystal wine glasses for $2 each. Furniture ranges good to tatty. Good store. Spacious to browse.

Sutho Vinnies has become the exclusive opp shop with ridiculously high prices. Example, I donated 2 x collapsible ottomans purchased from Office works for $10 each, Vinnies selling for $15 each and they were at least 10 years old. Not such a charitable shop afterall! Best when there's a sale on.

Plenty of variety, however, very much overpriced. Sometimes I can buy cheaper on line and I feel pricing definitely needs to be adjusted, maybe that's why they are overstocked. I recently travelled to country NSW and SA and for example all dresses $5, all tops $4.

Fantastic store. Not only does it support a fantastic organization, but you a can always find a bargain, and always find something unique. Check out the glass cabinets at the front of the store, you can find some really cool pieces, jewelry, luxury goods, statues etc.

Great place to help

A great op shop/charity store located not too far from Sutherland station. Features a huge shopping area with lots of furniture, clothes and other items. Wheelchair access is ample, but may be tight in some corners. Parking can be a bit tricky at peak times and is timed.

I love the store and the staff. Shout out for Jeroen who patiently showed the furniture to me and helped me make decisions to purchase the Mattress.
