Ipswich Hollywood Nails & Foot Spa

My usual nail place couldn't fit me in, so i went here.Not a great experience. Spa mani pedi both myself and husband. $80 each.Had the trainee who was always looking for guidance from others. Put the massage chair into action after i asked him not to. I turned it off and he turned it right back on.Took awhile for him to put cold water into the scolding hot foot spa.Took a REALLY long time to bring the colours over and then didn't even ask us if we were getting a mani - even though we did say that's what we wanted.....just tried to get rid of us.He wasn't sure how to do the colour I wanted, so i ended up having to choose another colour and then he had another tech come and do it anyway.Once I was moved to the mani station, my tech kind of washed his hands of me and played on his phone, leaving the others to take over. His lack luster effort made me glad he left me to others.When asking for matte" top coat instead of gloss a few of them stood around giggling saying they didn't understand and just applied gloss. The receptionist was the only one that understood and then had to spend quite awhile fixing what they'd done.No eftpos. No signs to say no eftpos. Had to go out to the bank to withdraw $$.The entire store is in desperate need of a deep clean.Everywhere I looked was grime

I highly recommend! Hannah and the rest of the staff are wonderful, I always walk out with beautiful nails & no issues with them. Fairly priced, and a great atmosphere.I’ve taken plenty of intricate designs in for my nails, and they always gotten it spot on.

My nail technician was a lovely & friendly young girl, who tried her very best to make sure my 8yr old daughter & I had an enjoyable time.The staff here are predominantly Vietnamese so the don't usually speak very much to the clients, so it was a nice change to have a technician who was engaging with us. She heard me say to my daughter that my feet get sore at work, so she gave me a really long foot massage, which was awesome.Only negative is that they don't have EFTPOS facilities available & you have to go & get money & come back. This has been an issue for months now??

Do not use this place if you care about your nails. I went in to get old nails removed, instead of soaking them, she ripped them off including numerous layers of natural nail with a palette style knife. Didn't even care when I said it was hurting, just told me sorry about that and kept hold of my hand and kept going.The nail shapes looked good when she first asked but then filing them unevenly left them looking like rubbish and all wonky. A week later and my nails still hurt from all the layers being ripped off...She didn't even ask what I was there for when she sat down at the table then got annoyed as she didn't do what I originally asked for.You have to guess what she was saying as she spoke so fast and was talking to a colleague in her language, then say something to me so was hard to know she was talking to me, just didn't seem to care about quality etc. My nails are so thin underneath now, despite having my other nails done elsewhere with care and quality, my natural nails were growing well and quite healthy. She's just destroyed them with her attempt to be faster.Will never go back.She needs to find a new job as people and nails is not her strong point. Unless they are all trained this way and then avoid the place entirely.

My experience was not positive. Nail technician was very rushed. And my gel finish on my nails did just last one week before it started chipping! I was careful in taking care of my nails and was very disappointed when it started chipping after 1 week! Will not recommend.

I wish I'd read the reviews before coming here, they burned through my toenail down to the quick with the drill and from the reviews it looks like that wasn't the first time they've done that. My toe is very sore, the rest of my toenails are jagged and uneven. I'm glad I gave up before the polish. But then, another staff member did a wonderful job on my daughter's nails... not going back though!

I wanted a white base with a blue fade for my engagement that gave me a purple nail with a blue tip all the acrilics are wonky the paint dosent cover the sides of the nails my nails bed are red from how ruff thay where and my hands are covered in glue I told the lady that thay where rong but she continued and said it was to late I am crushed because I'm getting engaged with the unglyest pare of nails O have ever received that did only charge me $30 but it's still no exseption for what thay have done do not recamend

my sister and i got our nails done on the 28th, it’s now the 30th, i got painted on french tips with a small heart on each ring finger which cost $5 extra for two hearts and +$25 to get each french tip painted although end price only came to $70 and not $80, less than 24 hours later my paint on my pinky nail has already been chipped off and is now continuing to come off my nail. they are also uneven with few bumps here and there but nothing a file cannot fix. although, the staff where nice and listen to what i wanted. they barely shaped my nails before starting to apply the SNS and they are all different lengths. my sister got acrylic with glitter and polish and only came to $50 whereas mine was $70 although being told it was $50 over the phone for french tips. do but don’t recommend, it’s good to just walk into as they’re always taking walk ins but i don’t recommend getting french tips with them :)

I got my toenails done and ended up getting a big infection in my big toe as they must not clean any of the utensils properly, and it really hurt. My big toe is quite infected. Also they should’ve been a sign at the front stating that the card machine was down as there was a mini sign face towards you when you got your nails done so you had to get a cash out at the ATM. You don’t see it until you’ve already got your nails done as it was too hard to see. Should’ve had some sign when you first walk in.
