Specsavers Optometrists & Audiology - Menai

A big shout out to the team at Menai for helping me today with a prescription update and new glasses. My optometrist was thorough and helpful and choosing frames was easy because the frames recommended to me after asking some questions about what I wanted were perfect. It could have taken half an hour. It took 5 minutes. I bought the first two shown to me. Pretty much the perfect experience. Recommended highly.

Donna from the menai store was very helpful, friendly and kind. She was thorough and a really cheerful person. I will continue to select my glasses from this store and not where I had previously..

Staff are always very friendly and explain each process (whether that be a preparatory examination, actual assessment of vision, fitting of glasses and discussion of needs or issues) in detail and have helped me make the best decisions for myself.

Jeremy was super helpful and patient in helping me find the best fit and look. He listened to me and gave advice which I found very helpful, as I was shopping alone and needed an honest opinion. I have come to Specsavers Menai for many years and will continue to do so.

I would like to recommend Specsavers at menai. The staff were efficient friendly and for someone who can’t make up her mind they were very patient, Elizabeth especially.

They show great care towards their customers. They helped me immensely finding a pair of glasses that could fit and works well with my face shape. They were also very friendly, and I can confidently say that about all the workers there. I would definitely recommend and come back here again :)

I have always been very happy with the customer service but did not have a good experience this time. Arranged a time to pick up my glasses. The day before received a text message saying that the glasses had not arrived. Did not attend for my appointment. 3 days later my husband went into the shop and asked after our glasses. His were there but mine wasn’t. After 4 more days I went in. After much searching mine were found. Told mine were put in this spot as I had not attended my appointment. Explained about text message but was dismissed and still “blamed” for not playing my role correctly in the process. No blame for the delay in the delivery of the glasses accepted by the store person or anything vaguely resembling an apology. Made to wait for fitting as I didn’t have an appointment. When at last I was called to fit the glasses the paper attached to the bag said that the glasses had been received on the 16th February days before the original appointment. This would have been obvious to everyone I was dealing with. While I understand that glitches occur I was upset about the lack of responsibility for the mix up. I was upset by the hostility towards me because I missed my appointment even though spec savers cancelled the appointment. I still have the text message from Spec savers. Nobody in the store would accept ownership of the mistake only wanted to make the customer feel at fault and a nuisance as I couldn’t do the right thing. I went out of my way to keep going to the store to get my glasses. Said I must have received a second text about my glasses which I never did. Not a happy experience.

Optician was very good but the cost of 3ml of Systane Complete jumped in 1 week from $12.95 to $29.95, stating a price rise and previously mispriced too low. Doesn't add up when Priceline is selling 10ml at $18.99. Lesson learnt! I then researched and found a Renpho eye massager with heat which has helped with my blocked ducts and is just a 1 time purchase. Edit. Priceline sale price has expired and is now $21.49 for 10ml. The preservative free version is $26.99 for 10ml. Specsavers offered me a partial refund, thank you.

Elizabeth at the Menai store went above and beyond helping me today! I cannot commend her enough. She was kind and helpful and I was so appreciative of her time and her advice. She is a wonderful employee and an absolute asset to your company. Thank you ElizabethJosephine Calamia

I have been getting my eyes checked at Specsavers Menai for many years, I have found the Optometrists & Staff very friendly and very helpful. I've had a couple of emergency problems - re :- 1) Eye Retina detachments & 2) A brain aneurysm which two different Optometrists had picked up and they reacted quickly.To the Staff I Can't thank you enough for all the support and care I've have received.regardsMaria
