Service was very good although felt a little rushed. Pizza was very good 4 star, we had the grilled barramundi which was very average 3 star and had bruschetta was 2 star hence and overall rating of 3.

RUDE RUDE RUDE OWNER!!!!4 years ago i rated this place 5 star however after our experience last Saturday night i would not ever! ever recommend nor come to this place. Me and my partner are from mortdale so we are local and few visits here we were disappointed because the food that we normally ordered were not the same but we didnt tell anyone or edit my review.So Saturday night we had another go and we were happy and enjoyed our meal so my partner told the owner that we had a really good meal tonight and it was like before and told him because few visit was not the same it wasnt good, so he complimented him for his food that night. But he couldn't take the criticism and told my partner that he has never had a problem before in a rude way. Now that you are not byo and You! owner coudnt take criticism should change how you treat your customer. We wont come back again.

What a lovely way to relax at the end of a busy day. One of our favorites and as usual the food was perfect. Best ever arancini! The staff are amazing and so friendly. Always a pleasure to see Fred - no matter how busy he is he always has time for a chat and a laugh. Great venue, great food with great friends - couldn’t ask for more!

Mamma Barone in Mortdale is our go-to local Italian restaurant, homemade-style cuisine and delicious Pigs Peake wine and great Italian beer in their menu. Although the service on our recent visits wasn't up to par, it's still a great place to enjoy a meal.

We enjoyed the pizza at Mamma Barone for our Friday night dinner. We are new to the area, and I'm very pleased to have a solid Italian place so close by.Despite being there quite early, the food was timely and delicious. It felt like an authentic little Italian restaurant. The red wine also went down a treat.I really liked that they also gave my young son's crayons to draw on the paper covering the tables. That was helpful in letting us enjoy our meal futher!Can't wait to try other things from the menu.

I know I say this will all the places I try, but this was so delicious!Everything was on point. Recommend the baby octopus, calzone (#2), Penne Romana, even the garlic bread was delicious, crispy on the outside, soft and buttery, with a flutter of cheese..The desserts were also great, we had the baked ricotta cheese cake and tiramisu. Only critique was the tiramisu didn't have enough sponge to Mascarpone as they used a glass with a smaller base to the rim, but still great.Can't wait to come again soon!

Mama Barone’s never fails to impress me. From perfect customer service to beautiful food all round, i can’t recommend Mama Barone’s more. The owner Fred is extremely accommodating and made me feel at home the moment i sat down. I’ll be back soon!

3.5/5We had a good time at Mamma Barone, everything was great except for the service. The ambience is cosy, homely, and the food is amazing. We love the arancini, pasta and the gnocchi. Probably the best gnocchi we’ve ever had! We also love rich and creamy tiramisu.The pizzas are okay.Service needs to be improved.
